<br />The School District of Lee County, Florida - RFP # 6211 <br />Document Imaging System <br /> <br />August 5, 2004 <br /> <br />Records management practices and standards are part of the developmental considerations of <br />LaserFiche. <br /> <br />Current developmental efforts by LaserFiche are to maintain a legal (by current standards) and secure <br />records management system. LaserFiche has also devleoped an Oracle solution to add to the LaserFlche <br />DIMS product suite. LaserFiche has also been certified as a HIPAA compliant application Additionally, <br />verSion 70 has met the Department of Defense's rigorous testing process, achieving certification to their <br />Certified Records Management standard (000 50152 - certification requirements for records <br />management systems) <br /> <br />Benefits: The LaserFlche DIMS has historically and consistently proven itself to be among the top <br />performers of imaging and document management technology solutions. The system will run on standard Intel-based <br />workstations and supports VGA and SVGA monitors. The DIMS supports the Microsoft operating systems <br />including XP Professional and Windows 2000 for processing stations, and XP, XP Professional, and 2000 <br />for retrieval stations. The DIMS utilizes existing and standard wiring media and uses the TCP/IP protocol <br />for network communication. Text files are stored as standard ASCII files Text searches are <br />accomplished on the file server and presented on the PC Windows desktop. The proposed system can <br />be upgraded at any time by adding additional user licenses, additional departmental databases (not <br />required using the DIMS security model), scanner systems, and professional services (not required). The <br />LaserFiche DIMS does not require any 'special' hardware or network configurations to be implemented <br />and supported The resource requirements for Install and setup are minimal. <br /> <br />The LaserFiche DIMS application IS installed on a Windows 2000 Server Microsoft SQL Server is <br />reqUIred to support the LaserFiche DIMS database The LaserFiche application, database tables, and <br />data objects can be setup on a single or multiple numbers of servers.
