Document records can be faxed over a single fax modem (files are printed and faxed as normal, <br />or most fax machines emulate printers) and/or over a network fax modem by using standard Windows <br />compatible fax software (Windows fax software emulates printers, Image pages follow the fax cover <br />sheet) <br /> <br />The LaserFiche DIMS can import or export documents at the document or folder level. When exporting <br />an entire folder of documents from LaserFlche, a 'briefcase' file IS created This file contains the images, <br />text, associated templates, associated template field data, and annotations for each record This IS a <br />portable data set that can be attached to an eXisting LaserFiche system or database. The user can also <br />export a briefcase of several folders and subfolders With associated documents and meta-data, see <br />previous sentence. <br /> <br />Data volumes can be exported with the Included folder/subfolder structure and the record Indexes. This <br />portable data set can then be attached to an existing LaserFlche system. Alternatively, with LaserFiche <br />'Plus' Publishing, the data volume can then be wntten to CDR/DVDR optical disc with a LaserFiche <br />database and LaserFiche 'Viewer', <br /> <br />With the DIMS, image files can be printed with or without annotations (based on secunty profile of the <br />user) Image documents can be printed in entirety, a range of pages, and/or particular pages, or a section <br />of an individual page. Multiple users can simultaneously view and print the same Image document <br />concurrently.
