The E&R TEAM shares the
belief expressed by the City that
successful enhancement of the
Collins Avenue corridor will provide
an important stimulus to community
improvement. This project can serve
as an outstanding example of how
a beautiful streetscape contributes
immeasurably to a community's civic
health and an improved life for its
people.

Q)
::l
Cl
Q)
>
<
CIl
Cl
.-
-
-
o
U

Collins Avenue is the main
thoroughfare in the City of Sunny
Isles Beach and improving the visual
character is of utmost importance.
The E&R TEAM is proposing a
streetscape plan that will capture the
unique identity of "Florida's Riviera."
The following is a brief summary of
the primary streetscape components.

Collins Avenue West: The Pedestrian Promenade
On the west side of Collins Avenue the E&R TEAM
envisions a 10' wide Pedestrian Promenade with
Medjool Date Palms spaced 20 to 30' on center.
The Medjool Date Palms will be planted in at grade
planters and will be highlighted in the evenings
with landscape uplights.
Colorful shrubs and
groundcovers will be

.

utilized to accentuate the Pedestrian Promenade
and to provide a landscape buffer for the adjacent
Vehicular Use Areas. The Pedestrian Promenade will
also feature decorative Pole mounted Light Fixtures
and Streetscape Furnishings that are consistent
with City Standards.

8(1(' Aettt.
Sip

Existing Right or Way Line
.nd back or existing oidcwllk

g

Colorful Shrub Plantinp (typ)

Medjool Date P.1ms ift at sndr
planler openings

S' '\A.idc PrCC&.<lit Concrde Pa\'Cf'
Walkway

Exbling Palms and PlaTlling
on adjrocCl1t Private Propcny

Paving along the Pedestrian Promenade will
be constructed with durable precast Concrete
Pavers that will feature a nautically inspired
"Wave" pattern, Existing utilities will be relocated
underground and buried beneath the precast
concrete pavers.
