The E&R TEAM shares the <br />belief expressed by the City that <br />successful enhancement of the <br />Collins Avenue corridor will provide <br />an important stimulus to community <br />improvement. This project can serve <br />as an outstanding example of how <br />a beautiful streetscape contributes <br />immeasurably to a community's civic <br />health and an improved life for its <br />people. <br /> <br />Q) <br />::l <br />Cl <br />Q) <br />> <br />< <br />CIl <br />Cl <br />.- <br />- <br />- <br />o <br />U <br /> <br />Collins Avenue is the main <br />thoroughfare in the City of Sunny <br />Isles Beach and improving the visual <br />character is of utmost importance. <br />The E&R TEAM is proposing a <br />streetscape plan that will capture the <br />unique identity of "Florida's Riviera." <br />The following is a brief summary of <br />the primary streetscape components. <br /> <br />Collins Avenue West: The Pedestrian Promenade <br />On the west side of Collins Avenue the E&R TEAM <br />envisions a 10' wide Pedestrian Promenade with <br />Medjool Date Palms spaced 20 to 30' on center. <br />The Medjool Date Palms will be planted in at grade <br />planters and will be highlighted in the evenings <br />with landscape uplights. <br />Colorful shrubs and <br />groundcovers will be <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />utilized to accentuate the Pedestrian Promenade <br />and to provide a landscape buffer for the adjacent <br />Vehicular Use Areas.
