This included widening of <br />the existing two-foot paved shoulders to five feet, milling and resurfacing of the existing driving lanes, and replacing existing cross <br />drains. The Fort Pierce Water Control District Canal runs parallel to the north Right of Way Line of Emerson Avenue. The project also <br />included improvements to the slopes of the Canal in those areas showing signs of erosion. Thorough communications and meetings <br />with FPWCD were undertaken to develop an erosion protection system that was acceptable to both the client and the canal owners. <br />(Construction Cost: $1.55 million; Construction Cost Estimate: $1.40 million; Design Fee: $430,000) <br /> <br /> <br /> 25.
