<br />Project Principal The project is under-construction and consists of a 55-story residential tower in the southern end of Sunny Isles
<br />Beach. The foundation design for this project consists of the use of 30-inch-diameter, 145 ft to 150 ft long augered cast-in-place
<br />(ACIP) piles extended beyond the compressible sand and weakly cemented layers typically encountered in the Sunny Isles
<br />Beach area. The ACIP pile load testing program included the installation of a deep O-cell embedded jack, approximately 24 ft
<br />above the tip of the test pile, The services also included the collection and testing of the near-surface materials for compatibility
<br />with the beach sand, as part of the soil compatibilit performed b the pro'ect civil en ineer. Cost of work: $250,000

<br />The Home of the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins is partially underlain by loose sands and partially by loose sands with a thin
<br />limerock layer. Supervised the subsurface investigation and assisted in developing the site stabilization for recommending
<br />shallow strip footings for the highly varying column loads. Reported on the subsurface conditions and developed a comparative
<br />foundation cost analysis comparing preloading, vi bra-replacement and dynamic compaction. Assisted in the preparation of the
<br />site preparation specifications, preload design, and preload monitoring and evaluation. Performed footing subgrade inspections,
<br />testing, and reporting. The engineering work also included the investigation, design, supervision and analysis of a full-scale field
<br />test to determine the impact and effectiveness of a 10-ton vibrato roller on sand with depth. Cost of work: $365,000

<br />Ms, Gonzalez value engineered the foundations of this 26-story condominium tower and garage podium, increasing the pile
<br />capacity nearly 400% and reducing the lengths. Savings on the foundations alone were over $750,000. Also provided
<br />environmental engineering services and dewatering consultation, assisting with providing dewatering solutions and obtaining the
<br />dewaterin permit from various overnmental a encies.
