BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size and cost) <br /> <br />Wolfberg Alvarez and Partners provided architectural and engineering services for a $6 Million expansion and im- <br />provement to the existing Cocowalk complex in Coconut Grove including a new parking structure, eight cinemas <br />and retail facilities. The five-level, 140,000 SF Parking Garage accommodates 360 vehicles. Two levels of the <br />parking structure are below grade and eight new cinemas are located on the 28,000 SF top level of the parking <br />structure. The structural design includes a post-tension concrete structural system up to the cinema level and a <br />steel roofing structure. The mechanical systems include a ventilation system in the enclosed garage with both the <br />garage and cinemas fully sprinkled. The electrical systems include emergency power for the garage with genera- <br />tors providing power for the lighting, ventilation, and alarm systems.
