C3TS was retained by the City of Lauderhill Fire Department to provide Architectural & Engineering services to renovate an existing three story former Police Headquarters building adjacent to Fire Station NO.57 and design a new building to connect the two existing buildings. The new building houses two apparatus bays. The ground floor of the existing three story building houses the quarters for the Fire-Rescue personnel. The second floor contains the City of Lauderhill's Emergency Operations Center and Fire-Rescue Training Facilities. The third floor provides space for the Fire Administrations and Fire Marshal's offices. In addition, there is a multi-story tower; burn pits; vehicle fire facilities; a combined police and fire six-story rescue buildina; and roadwavs with multiole fire hvdrant connections. The project includes a large scale expansion and improvements to the existing water treatment plant that includes a new two story 14,500 sq ft administrative operations office building, a new 23,000 sq ft nanofiltration and reverse osmosis membrane technology building, in addition to support facilities such as high service pump rooms, motor control electrical rooms, generator rooms, a new 2,500 sq ft structure to hold sodium hypoclhorite tanks, meterinQ rooms and storaQe. As part of their continuing services contract, the City of Hialeah commissioned C3TS to provide architecture and engineering design and construction for a 25,000 sq. ft. community center, library, daycare center, outdoor play areas and classrooms for adults and children alike. The vernacular design of this building and courtyard style will help create the image the City of Hialeah wishes to project and will increase the value of the surrounding properties. This project includes modifications of site desiQn to allow for future Qrowth of either soccer fields or baseball fields for the community and a possible fire/police station.
