He joined the office of The Russell <br />Partnership, Inc. in 1985 as an intern architect. Mr. Calcines has evolved and expanded his knowledge of architecture by <br />working. in a diverse number of projects that range from Recreational, Transportation, Housing, Educational, Federal <br />Govemment, Libraries and Peer Review Services. Mr. Calcines became a principal of The Russell Partnership, Inc. in 1995. <br /> <br />The followino are some of the oroiects that he has orovided his exoerience: <br /> <br />Regional Commuter Facility <br /> <br />The Regional Commuter Facility at Miami International Airport will mark the western boundary of the North Terminal <br />Development. This facility is designed for the use of a regional commuter airline providing two additional gates as well as <br />access to sixteen commuter jets that are ramp loaded. The over 67,000 SF area of this building will house the numerous <br />tasks of this airline including office space, holdrooms, ticket counters, and sterile corridors. <br /> <br />Sunrise Senior Center <br /> <br />The Senior Center Facility is part of a 52 Acre Government Complex consisting of a City Hall, Public Safety Building, Fire <br />Station, Civic Recreational/Cultural Arts Center and a Library. The 14,500 S.F. facility overlooking a 1 acre lake consists of <br />an administration wing coupled by a two story Central Lobby adjoining the Activity wing. <br /> <br />Tyrone Bryant Branch Library <br /> <br />The Russell Partnership, Inc. was in charge of the design and construction administration for this library. The project <br />consists of a brand new 10,000 S.F. Branch library including new parking area, and the relocation of existing tennis and <br />shuffleboard courts. The library functions as a meeting place for the community. There is a multipurpose room with room <br />for over one hundred people, with audio-visual components and a food preparations area. A drive through book drop off is <br />conveniently placed by the parking area and within access from the inside of the facility by the circulation workroom. The <br />main library space is a large column free space, well lit by indirect lighting. There is a children's area with primarily north <br />facing window openings that allows a view towards the park setting <br /> <br />Continuing Services Contract for the School Board of Broward County <br /> <br />The Russell Partnership, Inc. has provided design, construction administration and peer review services for the School Board <br />of Broward County in the area of ADA compliance, life safety and general renovations and remodeling. The Russell <br />Partnership, Inc. in coordination with the SBBC provided design criteria and construction administration for Pines Middle <br />School in Broward County. <br />
