Sibila is an Associate with the Firm specializing in land use, zoning, <br />real estate and sustainable development and green building practices. She <br />represents clients in complex matters involving land use, zoning, developmental <br />approvals, comprehensive planning and code enforcement. Ms. Sibila appears <br />before city and county boards throughout South Florida, including the cities of <br />Miami, Miami Beach, Sunny Isles Beach, South Miami, Opa-Locka and Miami- <br />Dade County. Ms. Sibila has been involved in obtaining the necessary <br />development approvals for major high-rise condominium and commercial <br />projects throughout Miami-Dade County. Ms. Sibila was the first attorney in <br />Miami-Dade County to obtain the U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in <br />Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP) credential <br />and is a frequent author and lecturer on the topic of sustainable development, <br />energy efficient land use planning, and risks associated with green building. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Ms. Sibila obtained a Master of Laws degree in real estate development and <br />finance from the University of Miami School of Law. Ms. Sibila has been <br />recognized and honored as a "Rising Star" by Florida Super Lawyer Magazine, a <br />Legal Elite "Up and Coming Attorney" by Florida Trend Magazine, has been <br />named "Top 30 Under 30 in Commercial Real Estate" and "Top 40 Under 40 <br />Rising Stars of Florida Real Estate" by Real Estate Florida Magazine, and was <br />profiled as "The Achiever: Green Advocacy as a Legal Calling" by Miami Today. <br />Most recently, Ms. Sibila was awarded the HYPE "Go Getter" Award from the <br />Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and was honored by the Cystic Fibrosis <br />Foundation as a 'Top 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyer of Miami-Dade County." <br /> <br />Michelle Vos is an Associate in the Municipal Land Use and Zoning Law Group, <br />and the Litigation Division. Her professional background includes significant <br />experience in environmental regulatory compliance and enforcement. Prior to <br />joining the Firm, Ms. Vos was a natural resource enforcement officer with the <br />Broward County Environmental Protection and Growth Management Department. <br />She was principally responsible for handling environmental regulatory <br />compliance and enforcement matters arising from routine facility inspections, <br />accidental releases, permit violations, tree removal and mangrove alteration. <br />This work involved administrative and quasi-judicial hearings concerning notices <br />of violation, notices of intent to file suit, variances and administrative reviews of <br />final agency decisions.
