FTE's Qualifications I III

. A complete understanding of the technical requirements of this project
. First hand access to state-of-the-art technology
. Commitment to an on-going Quality Control Program
. Coordination with other City departments, agencies, and other Consultants
. The extensive experience and understanding of projects, with similar scopes in nature, which enables the
staff to be responsive, to perform tasks properly, and to provide quality products and documents within
a very short time frame
. The locality and familiarity factors.

As a result, FTE's organizational management approach is based on a pro-active leadership that strives for
customer satisfaction, achievement and success. FTE's leadership is conscientious that timeliness and
effectiveness of response to each of task is imperative for this important contract without overextending
administrative costs.

COORDINATION AND COMMUNATION

FTE considers that an essential element for this contract is to maintain direct lines of communication that will
allow sharing of ideas, experience, and use of technology, as well as, providing high quality services to the City.
Also, this contract calls for FTE Project Managers with adequate experience and authority to commit the Team's
resources. The steady relationship of the Team Project Manager with other Team members to develop
schedules, organize subgroups for additional tasks, and track all progress in various work orders will enhance the
efficiency in fund allocations. Furthermore, this Team has been coordinated to serve the City as presented in the
organizational chart.

However, in many cases, conflicts just seem to be a fact of life. This does not necessarily have to be a bad thing
as long as the conflicts are resolved promptly and positively, leading to success. FTE's leadership skills can make
the difference between positive and negative outcomes. Several elements are evaluated by our staff in order to
create a streamlined process for
conflict resolution and including:

Client
Expcct.1tion.

Discussions needed to resolve
the conflict by expanding
awareness and proper insight to
interested parties, public
officials, and/or staff without
undermining ideas. FTE's Team
basis for conflict resolution is to
develop a stronger mutual
respect and a renewed faith in
our ability to work as part of a
team and as an extension of the
City. FTE's conflict resolution
process pushes our Team to
examine goals in close detail,
help to understand critical
components, sharpen focus, and
enhance effectiveness.

Client
5.:Iti.faction

---~ - ..- - ----- _.,-

Professional Engineering Services - RFQ#10-04-01

9
