The project also included obtaining permits from FOOT District 6, Miami-Dade County Building Department, DERM and acquisition of an Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) from the South Florida Water Management. The scope of work included water, sewer, paving, grading and drainage systems design as well as off-site roadway improvements associated with a Miami-Dade County section line road as well as pavement marking and signage. Coordinated all permitting through Miami-Dade County Public Works, Miami-Dade Water & Sewer, DERM and the South Florida Water Management District and all the utility coordination on the public right-of-way to avoid conflicts within the proposed layout of the new utilities. Environmental Resource Permit was required by FDEP. The project also included the design and coordination of a private lift station. Project Engineer responsible for design services and construction documents for 3000 LF of 12" water main to provide additional fire protection to the Merrick and Memorial Buildings. The installation of the water main required coordination with the utility owner and the contractor due to lack of existing utilities information along the proposed layout.
