The project included the renovation of the existing restrooms for handicap access and added showers, new kitchen and laundry facilities, new HV AC system and retrofitted electrical service to accommodate the electrical loads with 100% standby diesel generator system back up. The building is 5 floors with the top floor only occupying half the floor. The new design is a water cooled chilled water system with new variable air volume air handlers with electronic DOC controls. The new air handlers are located within the same mechanical rooms increasing the size as need to provide clearances for the units. Interior build out of 8,200 sq ft of executive office space. It includes two conference rooms, restroom with shower, individual offices, a break room, and other common areas. All the appliances are Energy Star, all individual offices have daylighting sensors, open spaces or restrooms have occupancy sensors, and all paints and sealants used were low VOC. There is a fire alarm system throughout and an IT room for all low voltage systems. The project achieved USGBC LEED Certification for Commercial Interiors. The project included the demolition and removal of all interior walls and the HV AC system.
