The duration of the project was
approximately one year and had a budget of $6 million.
The project was successful and allows NCNG to feed
existing customers including several pmver generation
facilities.

BG Transco UK (Aug 1997 to Present). As Lead
~[echanical Engineer, Mr. Raine performed compressor
station hydraulic design calculations for a three unit, gas
engine driven, reciprocating gas compressor station
totaling 18,750 hp for BG Storage at the I-[ornsea Salt
Ca\'ity Storage Facility. [-Ie performed conceptual
studies and made recommendations for suitable
eCluipment selection, plant layout, operating economics
and a capital cost estimate.

Eastern Shore Natural Gas Company (Dec. 1995 to
Apr 1997). t\Ir. Raine was Project Engineer for the
design of a nominal 3,300 horsepmver gas engine dri\'Cn,
natural gas compressor station for the Eastern Shore
Natural Gas Company. The Delaware City compressor
station consists of three, Caterpillar G 35 16-LE-Ti\- 130
natural gas engines rated to 1085 bhp @ 120D rpm and
three Ariel J G D-2 f\VO throw, single stage, reciprocating
gas compressors. . The Delaware City Compressor
Station is an unmanned facility and is controlled from
the companies headquarters located in Dm'er, Dela\vare

Massachusetts Municipal Wholesale Electric
Company Guly 1996 to Dec 1996). ~Ir. Raine was
Project Engineer for the engineering and design of a 15
mile, 5,000 sdh high pressure gas transmission pipeline,
custody transfer, gas metering and pressure regulation
facility required for the fuel cot1\'ersion from oil to gas
of five, electric pO\ver generation gas turbine engines.
The scope of work to site the pipeline included
el1\'ironmental, State and local regulatory permitting.
The facilities are planned for operation in 1999.

Commonwealth Electric Company (Sept 1995 to
Mar 1996). As Mechanical Engineer, Mr. Raine
designed and prepared Piping and instrument Diagrams
and physical installation drawings to construct a 3,750
mscfh natural gas pressure regulation facility. The
regulation setting is used to supply natural gas into the
Canal Unit 2 electrical generation facility.

I SHAW ENVIRONMENTAL. INC.

OGC122006T

Commonwealth Electric converted the Canal Unit 2
facility from oil to natural gas. The drawings and
specifications were used during the cOI1\'ersion.

General Electric Company (Aug 1995 to Dec 1995).
t\[r. Raine was the on site representati\'e during the
design and installation of approximately 3000 feet of 12"
to 48" diameters of Insituform cured-in-place linings.
General Electric installed the linings into their existing
storm drainage systems using trench less technologies to
prevent soil contaminates from infiltrating into the
piping and being discharged into the Saugus Ri\'er. I-Ie
was present during construction re\'ie\ving the
installation techniclues and specifications.

NKK Corporation Gune 1995 to Sept 1995). t\[r.
Raine performed a transient hydraulic anal~'sis of a
natural gas compression facility and feed gas pipeline for
a gas turbine driven, electrical power generation facility
located in Tokyo, Japan. He hydraulically analyzed a
variable speed, electric motor dri\'en, centrifugal feed gas
compressor station and transportation pipeline using
Stoner Associates G,\SUS transient analysis program.
I-Ie also completed an economic analysis of the proposed
compression machinery to determine the most cost
effecti\'e driver/ compressor selection

Granite State Gas Transmission, Inc. G une 1994 to
Aug 1994). ,\s Lead ~[echanical Engineer, Mr. Raine
engineered, \vrote purchase and construction
specifications, managed contract bids and \vas tield
inspector during the blowdown, repair and purge of nine
miles of 18" gas pipeline in Windham, ~Iaine. He was
construction manager for the project and represented
GSGT during construction. The pipeline remediation
project was successfully completed so that GSGT could
destructi\'ely test five, 18" wrinkle bends to determine
these physical properties.

Western Farmers Electric Corporation Gan 1994 to
Feb 1994). As Lead Mechanical Engineer, t\Ir. Raine
studied and made operational recommendations to
WFEC to eliminate liquid hydrocarbon condensation
from wet natural gas presently produced from this
Trailfield gathering system in western Oklahoma. He
utilized a process simulation program (SnvISCI pro II) to
model the gathering system and performed an economic
analysis of several remedial options.

BRUCE R.
