<br />Calvert Street Courthouse at Arundel Center, An-
<br />napolis, MD. This 75,000 SF courthouse in the
<br />historic district of Annapolis was designed to integrate
<br />with the surrounding historic urban fabric. The new court-
<br />house is programmed to house eleven courtrooms, twelve
<br />judicial chambers, offices for court administration, court
<br />reporters, criminal docket clerks and detaining areas.
<br />Administrative space, a prisoner bus port and parking
<br />were also included in the program.
<br />Charlotte County Justice Center, Punta Gorda, FL.
<br />A five -story 184,000 SF facility that includes space
<br />for the judiciary, court administration, the clerk of
<br />courts, the state attorney, the public defender and the
<br />sheriff's department. The Justice Center houses nine
<br />courtrooms, supporting the latest in court technology,
<br />including micro-imaging, video arraignments and real -
<br />time court reporting.
<br />Volusia County Administration Center, DeLand,
<br />FL. This award winning 168,000 SF, four -story "County
<br />Headquarters" was designed for a 4 -acre urban site.
<br />The facility includes council chambers, pubic service
<br />spaces and offices for administrative bodies of the
<br />county government. Designed for maximum flexibil-
<br />ity, this facility includes state -of- the -art audiovisual
<br />equipment for closed- circuit and community access
<br />coverage of council meetings and special events.
<br />American Automobile Association, Corporate
<br />Headquarters, Orlando, FL. A 660,000 SF facility
<br />consisting of two five -level curved wings joined by a
<br />prominent multi -story rectangular atrium creating large,
<br />flexible open office areas, a computer center, and a
<br />125 -seat conference center. This facility has won sev-
<br />eral design awards including the Grand Award from
<br />NAIOP and the Award for Excellence from the Florida
<br />Chapter of the AIA. In addition, assisted AAA in the
<br />site selection and site analysis phase of the project
<br />Florida Power & Light Company, Corporate Cam-
<br />pus & Training Facility, Juno Beach, FL. This 60
<br />acre site was master planned working with environ-
<br />mentally sensitive native scrublands, wetlands and
<br />animal life to accept a series of 3 to 5 -story buildings
<br />totaling over 1,000,000 SF. Four buildings have been
<br />completed to date comprising over 685,000 SF includ-
<br />ing a connecting atrium that is used for large corpo-
<br />rate and community gatherings and a special entry
<br />building for security clearance.

<br />❑ United States Courthouse and Federal Office
<br />Building, Ft. Myers, FL. This 167,500 SF Court-
<br />house & Federal Office Building is located in the
<br />historic district of Downtown Fort Myers, FL. The
<br />contemporary design strikes a balance with the
<br />surrounding historic structures. This project has
<br />been the recipient of an American Institute of Ar-
<br />chitects' Award.
<br />❑ Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Birmingham
<br />Branch, Birmingham, AL. Architectural, engineer-
<br />ing, planning and interior design services for a
<br />185,460 SF operations center. The building's de-
<br />sign and site are capable of supporting a 50%
<br />expansion in both space and parking. This major
<br />federal project incorporated state of the art me-
<br />chanical, electrical, communications and secu-
<br />rity systems and was designed to maintain op-
<br />erations during a disaster.
<br />❑ St. Johns County Administration Center and
<br />Courthouse, St. Augustine, FL. The Master Plan
<br />called for the consolidation of all county functions
<br />into a 235,000 SF complex. The first phase intro-
<br />duced a 100,000 SF courthouse and a 36,000
<br />SF administrative center. The award - winning
<br />structure features six courtrooms, a hearing room,
<br />judges' chambers, the Sheriff's Operation Center,
<br />the State Attorney, the Public Defender, the Clerk
<br />of Courts and room for expansion.
