<br />Roberto Lage has 26 years' experience in right -of -way
<br />improvement design, including paving, drainage systems,
<br />landscaping, and general site improvements. He served
<br />for 6 years as a civil engineer and an engineering techni-
<br />cian for the City of Miami Public Works Department. His
<br />responsibilities included preparation of preliminary plans,
<br />estimates and contract documents for paving projects, de-
<br />sign of street grades, preparation of proposals and speci-

<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach City Hall Governement
<br />Center, Sunny Isles Beach, FL. A new eight -story
<br />85,000 SF government complex inclusive of city hall,
<br />commission chambers, police facility, and a public
<br />library. Anew public waterfront park will also be devel-
<br />oped along the western edge of the city hall complex.
<br />City of Coral Gables,City Hall and Parking
<br />Garage,Coral Gables, Florida. Programming, archi-
<br />tecture, engineering and interior design fora new 50,000
<br />SF City Hall and Administration Building and a 375
<br />car parking garage, to harmonize with the existing his-
<br />toric City Hall structure. The masterplan proposes
<br />the acquisition of all adjacent properties in the City
<br />Hall block, as well as the closure of an adjacent street
<br />. The masterplan will result in a beautiful government
<br />center complete with a community park and new struc-
<br />tures which continue the sensitive historic design and
<br />contribute to the character of this landmark on
<br />"mainstreet" Coral Gables.
<br />Collier County Government Center, Master Plan,
<br />Collier County, FL. The Collier County Government
<br />Center is a campus consisting of 16 county buildings,
<br />including the courthouse, administration building,
<br />health services building, sheriff's administration and
<br />jail. There is a total of 560,000 SF on this main
<br />campus. This study involves a thorough evaluation of
<br />the architectural, structural, mechanical, and electri-
<br />cal components of each of these structures.
<br />North Miami Beach Public Safety Building, N.
<br />Miami Beach, FL. Located on a 10 acre site, this
<br />42,600 SF Public Safety Building was developed on a
<br />fast -track basis. The Police Headquarters was inte-
<br />grated into an existing government center and is an-
<br />ticipated to be a redevelopment catalyst for the City of
<br />North Miami Beach.

<br />holding areas; men's and women's locker rooms;
<br />records storage; investigation area; detective bureau;
<br />crime scene and photo lab; training; weapons and
<br />evidence storage; and general administrative sup-
<br />port. In addition to the multistory Public Safety Build-
<br />ing, the project also includes a parking deck and a
<br />vehicle maintenance and fueling facility.

<br />A new 50,000 SF Police Headquarters and Public
<br />Safety Complex inclusive of holding cells, investiga-
<br />tion division, forensic department, and related ad-
<br />ministrative support spaces. Complex also to in-
<br />clude a new 12,000 SF Fire Station and Emergency
<br />Medical Services (EMS) facility.
<br />O Lakeland Law Enforcement Facility, Lakeland,
<br />FL A78,000 SF facility designed to meetthe Police
<br />Department's current and future requirements. The
<br />facility responds to the city's key issues of efficiency
<br />of operation, flexibility and complementing the city's
<br />architecture and environment.
<br />O Key Biscayne Government Center, Key Biscayne,
<br />FL. Anew City Hall; Police Headquarters and pub-
<br />lic Parking Garage. The project was master planned
<br />and designed as a low scale campus environment
<br />open and accessible to all citizens. The center is
<br />located adjacent to the Village's main public park.
<br />A Fire Station and Community Center (designed by
<br />others) were additional components of the Govern-
<br />ment Center campus.
