i <br />SCDMJM programmed an 85,000 SF government <br />complex which was inclusive of a city hall, com- <br />mission chambers, police facility, and a public <br />library. The project was proposed to be the first <br />new building completed along the city's east / <br />west boulevard which would connect the ocean <br />with the intracoastal waterway, marking the <br />planned redevelopment of this business district. <br />The 1.5 acre site required the vertical stacking of <br />the city hall program which would allow views to <br />the ocean and surrounding islands from the up- <br />per floors. A new public waterfront park was also <br />to be developed along the western edge of the <br />city hall complex.
