<br />mental /engineering services to FDOT District IV. Ser-
<br />vices include but are not limited to: wetland jurisdictional
<br />determination; development of mitigation proposals, de-
<br />sign of mitigation plans; permit preparation and submit-
<br />tal; permit application coordination; wildlife and habitat
<br />studies; biological sampling and surveying; tree identifi-
<br />cation surveys; water quality studies; post design activi-
<br />ties; and expert witness testimony through a continuing
<br />services contract.
<br />• West Lake Park Phase II, prime consultant for the per-
<br />mitting and design of enhancements for this 1,400 -acre
<br />estuarine wetland. Services provided included: water
<br />quality data analysis, hypothesis development and re-
<br />view, sediment analysis, fishery analysis, rip -rap design,
<br />benthic macro - invertebrate identification, seagrass sur-
<br />vey, mitigation credit determination, negotiation of per-
<br />mit modifications, and permitting with the U.S. Army
<br />Corps of Engineers, the Florida Department of Environ-
<br />mental Protection, the South Florida Water Management
<br />District, and Broward County Department of Planning
<br />and Environmental Protection.
<br />Trails End - Alternate A, a 15 -acre parking lot and
<br />staging area for buses, taxis and limousines for one of
<br />the Fort Lauderdale /Hollywood International Airport
<br />expansion projects in Broward County. Services provided
<br />include: site planning, surveying, water and sewer, paving
<br />and drainage, pavement marking, lighting, irrigation,
<br />landscape architecture, wetland delineation, negotiations
<br />with government agencies, and wetland and upland
<br />permitting.
<br />Westpoint, a 158.5 -acre commercial and industrial par-
<br />cel in Tamarac. Services provided include: jurisdictional
<br />determinations of wetlands and dredge and fill permit-
<br />ting with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Broward
<br />County Department of Planning and Environmental Pro-
<br />tection; and overall mitigation design.
<br />• Pines Recreation Expansion Phase I, a 33 -acre rec-
<br />reational park expansion project requiring protected spe-
<br />cies identification and permitting and Burrowing Owl re-
<br />location permits were obtained from Florida Fish & Wild-
<br />life Conservation Commission and U.S. Fish & Wildlife
<br />Service. Other services included: owl identification; miti-
<br />gation design and oversight; and construction observa-
<br />tion and monitoring.
<br />• Pines Wetlands Park, a 100 -acre private passive park
<br />containing an interpretive exhibit center, 3,000 LF of board-
<br />walk and nature trails, and canoe trails in Pembroke
<br />Pines. Services provided included: land surveys; as-
<br />built surveys; topographic surveys; master planning, site
<br />planning and engineering; mitigation design and consult-
<br />ing; and construction management and observation.
<br />• Flamingo Park Expansion, a 25 -acre active park ex-
<br />pansion project including baseball fields, and conces-
<br />sion building /clubhouse and maintenance building in Pem-
<br />broke Pines. Services provided included: surveying and
<br />platting; paving, drainage, water and sewer design; light-
<br />ing; construction observation and management; wetland
<br />delineation and environmental permitting.
<br />West Lake Park, an award - winning 1,400 -acre Broward
<br />County and state -owned tidal estuarine park in Holly-
<br />wood. Services provided included: design and negotia-
<br />tion of permit modifications; mitigation design to encour-
<br />age natural /pioneer mangrove propagation; preservation
<br />of existing mangroves; permitting through Broward
<br />County Department of Planning and Environmental Pro-
<br />tection, Florida Department of Environmental Protection,
<br />and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; cost estimates; and
<br />contract administration and inspection services.
<br />1991 Griffey Tract Study /Pond Apple Slough, a wet-
<br />land exotic vegetation eradication study in Davie, Broward
<br />County. Services provided included: research effective-
<br />ness of various chemical treatment agents and meth-
<br />ods; inspection and mapping of the site; field data col-
<br />lection; and preparation of report with recommendation.
<br />• Pines Recreation Park Improvements Phase II, a
<br />33 -acre recreational park expansion project requiring pro-
<br />tected species identification and permitting and Burrow-
<br />ing Owl relocation permits obtained from Florida Fish &
<br />Wildlife Conservation Commission and U.S. Fish & Wild-
<br />life Service. Other services included: owl identification;
<br />mitigation design and oversight; and construction obser-
<br />vation and monitoring.
<br />Florida Department of Transportation Tree Surveys,
<br />provided tree surveys and tree status charts in FDOT
<br />right -of -way for purposes of permitting through munici-
<br />palities and /or County. Projects include City of Tamarac
<br />sidewalks, University Drive from Dade /Broward to Pines
<br />Boulevard, SR5 /US1 from N.E. 4th Street to N.E. 18th
<br />Street, and SR 810 - Hillsbourough Boulevard.
