Clark, C.E.P. <br />Senior Biologist <br />' Registration and Certifications: <br />• Certified Environmental Professional, The Academy of <br />' Board Certified Environmental Professionals <br />• USACOE Certified Wetland Delineator <br />• FDOT Water Quality Certification <br />• FDOT Noise Certification <br />• NAUI Openwater I Certification <br />Education: <br />' Bachelor of Science, Biology, University of Tampa, 1986 <br />• Master of Science, Entomology, Rutgers University, 1989 <br />' Professional Experience: <br />' Mr. Clark recently joined Miller, Legg & Associates and <br />has over 12 years of professional experience providing <br />environmental and permitting services. <br />' As a Senior Biologist, Mr. Clark is responsible for perform- <br />ing studies and investigations on biological and ecological <br />' impacts effecting the firm's projects. This includes field <br />evaluations, assessments, recommendations and report <br />writing. Specific responsibilities include: wetlands juris- <br />t dictional determination, dredge and fill permitting; wetland <br />mitigation design; mitigation monitoring; recommendations <br />for maintenance procedures; coordination of environmen- <br />tal GIS applications; and assistance with plan prepara- <br />tions and mitigation. <br />Mr. Clark has held the position of Senior Scientist and <br />' Environmental Sciences Manager with other local, con- <br />sulting firms. In addition, he has been a District Permits <br />Coordinator /Biologist for the Florida Department of Trans- <br />portation from October, 1990 to July, 1993. Responsibili- <br />ties for this position included: permit coordination and pro- <br />cessing with numerous environmental agencies, freshwa- <br />ter and estuarine wetland evaluations and delineations, pro- <br />' tected species coordination, seagrass mapping, coral re- <br />location, mitigation plan development, endangered species <br />biological assessments, permit construction compliance. <br />From July through October, 1990, Mr. Clark held the posi- <br />tion of Environmental Specialist/Biologist for FDOT. As <br />such, he performed wetlands evaluations, floral and faunal <br />determinations, cultural resource determination, hazard- <br />ous material surveys for roadway corridors, and Project <br />Development and Environment (PD& E) studies. <br />Professional and Civic Activities: <br />• Member, National Association of Environmental <br />Professionals <br />• Member, Florida Association of Environmental Profes- <br />sionals <br />Professional Publications: <br />• Coauthored paper- "Palatability of Insecticides to Honey <br />Bees (Hymenoptera: Apidae)" in the Journal of Economic <br />Entomology, 1989. <br />Awards: <br />1991 - 1992: Bill Gartner Award, Florida Department of <br />Transportation <br />• 1986: Beta Beta Beta Biology Student of the Year, <br />University of Tampa <br />Other Experience: <br />• Wetland Delineation Training instructor for FDOT envi- <br />ronmental and permitting staff, May, 1998. <br />Wetland and Protected Species Training instructor for <br />consulting firm's natural resources personnel, April 30 - <br />May 1, 1999. <br />
