6. Permits and Licenses: <br />Page 58, Section 7- 2.1 — General: This sub article is amended to include the following: <br />Permits which are issued by the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Dade County Department of <br />Environmental Resource Management for construction within the public right -of way, as <br />well as additional permits, which may be required by other municipalities or agencies, <br />including those required for tree removal, will be responsibility of the Contractor. <br />The Contractor is encouraged to read cautiously the specific conditions of the permits in <br />order to comply fully with their requirements. Any expenditure caused by these specific <br />conditions and not covered in the Bid Form shall be included in the Bid Price of this <br />project. <br />Additional permits, which may be required by other municipalities, FDOT or agencies, <br />including those required for dredging, pollution control, tree removal and /or tree <br />relocation, water lines, among others will be the responsibility of the Contractor. <br />The actual amount paid for the permits will be reimbursed to the Contractor out of the <br />Contingency Allowance. Original receipts must be presented to the Public Works <br />Director. <br />7. Site Investigation: <br />Page 12, Section 2 -4 — EXAMINATION OF PLANS SPECIFICATIONS, SPECIAL <br />PROVISIONS AND SITE OF WORK: This article is expanded to include the following: <br />The Contractor, by virtue of signing the Contract, acknowledges that he and all his <br />subcontractors have satisfied themselves as to the nature and location of the work, the <br />general and local conditions including, but not restricted to: those bearing upon <br />transportation and traffic maintenance; disposal, handling and storage of materials; access <br />roads to the site; the conformation and conditions of the work area; and the character of <br />equipment and facilities needed preliminary to and during the performance of the work. <br />Failure on the part of the Contractor to completely or properly evaluate any factors of <br />costs prior to bidding shall not form a basis for additional compensation if he is awarded <br />the Contract. <br />8. Performance of Work: <br />Page 39, Section 5 -8.2 — CONTRACTOR'S SUPERINTENDENT: This sub article is <br />expanded to include the following: <br />The Contractor will furnish a qualified superintendent who will present at all times <br />during the course of the work, and shall be authorized to act for the Contractor.
