Contractor shall keep on the job sufficient personnel, and equipment to meet the <br />requirements of the work. <br />The plant and equipment shall be kept in a satisfactory operating condition and capable of <br />safely and efficiently performing the work as set forth in the Plans and Specifications. <br />The equipment and all operations shall be subject to inspection by the Engineer at all <br />times. The Contractor shall submit for approval by the Engineer a description of the type <br />of materials and equipment to be used; and the method of procedure to be used in the <br />performance of the work. <br />9. Restoration of Property: <br />Page 62, Section 7 -11.1- Preservation of Property: This sub article is expanded to <br />include: <br />Property public or private — if damaged during construction or removed for the <br />convenience of the work, shall be repaired or replaced at the expense of the Contractor in <br />a manner acceptable to the Engineer, prior to the final acceptance of the work. Such <br />facilities shall include, but not limited to: signalization equipment and miscellaneous <br />hardware removed from the construction site, driveways, walls, fences, footing or <br />underground utilities. This section also includes the reposition of damage to streets <br />beyond the normal trench excavation, pavement milling and utility relocation (when <br />applicable). <br />Note: All street name signs and mail boxes shall remain in place during the period of <br />construction except those that are required to be relocated due to interference with the <br />actual construction. All signs or mail boxed that are relocated or damaged by the <br />Contractor during the course of the work shall be re- installed or replaced at the proper <br />location, as soon as possible by the Contractor. <br />Prior to the removal of any traffic control signs that interfere with the construction, the <br />Contractor shall provide temporary signing or other provisions to assure a continuous <br />flow of traffic under at least the same conditions as previously existed. All signs that are <br />found to be unserviceable shall be reported to the City of Sunny Isles Beach Department <br />of Public Works. <br />10. Utilities: <br />Page 64, Section 7 -11.6 Utilities: This sub article is expanded to include: <br />The Contractor shall make all necessary arrangements with the utility companies <br />concerned for maintenance of their lines during the construction period. In the event that <br />a complete relocation of utilities is required, but not been accomplished prior to the <br />effective date of the "Notice to Proceed ", the Contractor, nevertheless shall commence <br />work under this Contract, and shall schedule his work to avoid interference with the <br />utility relocation work. <br />Special Provisions Page 3 of 6 <br />
