Existing isolated tree - islands containing native trees and shrubs were identified and <br />protected from mechanical disturbance, while the site was cleared of exotic trees and the marsh and slough <br />habitats were excavated. After clearing and excavation, native plant species were installed. Monthly monitoring <br />continues. <br />Pembroke Falls Development, Engle Homes, Pembroke Pines, Florida. Commencing in 1992 and <br />completed in 1999, this project involved construction of a residential community of 1,500 multi - family and 2,000 <br />single - family homes plus commercial /office development, parks, and schools on 1,428 acres. It also involved <br />creating a 204 -acre, high - quality freshwater wetland system, a mix of forested wetland, marsh, hammock, open <br />water habitat, and Wood Stork feeding areas. Continues quarterly field monitoring and regulatory compliance. <br />City of Weston Various Environmental Projects <br />Provides field monitoring, preparation, and submittal of compliance monitoring reports, in accordance with <br />county, state, and federal regulatory agency requirements, for numerous wetland mitigation and preservation <br />sites that comprise 2,000 acres of created and restored wetlands from historic Everglades sawgrass habitat, <br />marshes and sloughs with tree islands, littoral shelves, and transitional wetlands. Oversees control of invasive <br />exotic vegetation through scheduled inspections. Reviews all development applications for compliance with <br />landscape and tree preservation codes. <br />Archdiocese of Miami Various Projects <br />' St. Maximilian Kolbe High School and Church. Supervised the construction and grading of a 3 -acre, off - <br />site mitigation area that was required for the project. Provided bidding services for plant materials and <br />installation at the mitigation site. <br />• Blessed John XXXIIII. Provided permitting services for on -site development and off -site mitigation areas. <br />Modifications to the issued permits were needed to accommodate additional adjacent land. <br />• St. Edwards Church. Provided permitting services and designed a wetlands mitigation, maintenance, <br />' and monitoring plan. <br />• Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Provided tree canopy surveys utilizing aerial photographs and <br />field work to determine the mitigation requirements required by Broward County DPEP . <br />C <br />
