n <br />1 <br />t <br />All Steel Gable Restroom & Office Shelter <br />1. Design Criteria: Structure(s) shall be designed to be free standing, open air <br />pavilion, in conformance with all applicable building code. Manufactured by RCP <br />Shelters: PO Box 25, Stuart, FL 34995, Ph: 800 - 525 -0207, fax: 772 - 288 -0207, <br />web: www.rcpshelters.com, e -mail: info(a-)-rcpshelters.com. <br />2. Scope: 16' x 36' rectangular picnic pavilion over a 4" minimum thickness <br />reinforced concrete slab. Shelter shall have a clear space, without a center <br />column or open knee bracing. The owner or contractor shall be responsible for <br />unloading, temporary storage, soil testing (if necessary), site preparation, <br />concrete slab, & erection of structures. Structure will be designed by <br />professional, registered engineers. <br />Restrooms framed under specified RCP shelter. Plumbing and electrical <br />engineering included in package. Plumbing and electrical rough -in shall be <br />performed by owner or contractor. Plumbing and electrical fixtures are optional, <br />and may be supplied by others. <br />3. Eave & Pitch: Eave height to be minimum 7' -6" at columns. Roof pitch shall be <br />t 4:12. <br />1 <br />w <br />4. Columns: Columns shall be structural tube steel with base plate, cap, & beam to <br />column connection. The shelter shall be set on prepared concrete footings. <br />Foundation (by others) will be designed & constructed to meet the local code and <br />good construction practices for the specific site conditions. The structure shall be <br />attached to the top of the concrete by use of four (4) anchor bolts per column as <br />specified by the manufacturer. Anchor bolts, (supplied by owner /GC), shall be <br />hidden by the concrete pad. <br />5. Frame: All structural framing shall be structural tube steel with end caps to form a <br />clean, neat appearance with no place for bird nesting. No cheap, light gauge, <br />structural sections will be used. Since all connections will bolt together, field <br />welding shall not be required. Bolts shall be concealed within the tubing where <br />possible. The steel frame & columns shall be factory prime painted with a rust <br />inhibitive modified alkyd primer according to Steel Structures Painting Council <br />(SSPC -SP2) as outlined in AISC 6.5. <br />6. Column /Frame Finish: Steel columns & frame to be factory prime painted with a <br />rust inhibitive modified alkyd primer according to Steel Structures Painting <br />Council (SSPC -SP2) as outlined in AISC 6.5. The columns & frame shall be <br />finished painted in the field with a weather resistant paint, supplied and applied <br />by the contractor or owner. <br />IDecember 2006 <br />06 -5723 <br />
