<br />Civil and Land Development Manager. Responsibilities included all facets of land development from property
<br />evaluations to certificate of occupancy. He was directly responsible for interdisciplinary coordination of mechanical,
<br />electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineering design. Provided management of commercial, industrial,
<br />highways, utilities, residential, and public works projects involving design and permitting through governmental
<br />agencies in Miami -Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach Counties. As a member of several Design -Build Teams for major
<br />projects he coordinated presentations, cost estimates, design, permitting, and construction management in
<br />accordance with a multitude of jurisdictional codes.
<br />Land Development Division Manager. Coordinated professional engineers, environmental consultants, and
<br />landscape architects and surveyors. He was directly responsible for the design of apartment complexes, banks,
<br />housing developments, buildings, renovations, restaurants, sewage and waste water systems, highways, bridges,
<br />concrete structures, schools, and environmental impact assessments.
<br />Consulting Firm. Founded engineering and surveying firm to provide service to the public, private, and mining
<br />sectors. He managed both survey and engineering disciplines for national and international clients. He was
<br />responsible for the design of sewage and waste water systems, highways, bridges, dams, valley fills, concrete
<br />structures, microwave and tower locations, deep and surface mines, preparation plants, mineral and timber reserve
<br />studies, feasibility studies, and sediment and environmental control systems. He was in charge of presentation
<br />portfolios to sell thousands of acres, plants, equipment, and railway sidings.
<br />Bridge Engineer: Department of Transportation. Conducted field inspections and data collection of over 600
<br />existing bridges. In addition, he analyzed and designed remediation of steel structures due to corrosion.
<br />Assistant District Construction Engineer: Department of Transportation. Responsible for review of
<br />specification, plans, as- builts and voucher estimates for 6 Interstate and 26 State Highway Projects. In addition he
<br />processed Change Orders, Supplemental Agreements, and Design changes to the Commission level.
<br />Assistant Chief of Survey: Department of Transportation. Maintained survey data for 10 crews, which
<br />included all field and office duties. In addition, he prepared plans, cross sections, and details for highway projects.
<br />He also calculated earthwork, quantities, and construction stake out coordinates.
<br />Water and Sewer Design Experience
<br />Duplex Pump Station, Miami -Dade County DERM, Miami -Dade County, Florida. Project Engineer for the
<br />design of a high horsepower duplex Pump Station with valve box, structures, force main, and relining of existing
<br />discharge pipe.
<br />Pump Stations, City of West Miami, Miami, Florida. Project Manager for the design of retrofit installation of
<br />three Pump Stations complete with electric service, panels, structures, valve sizing, and discharge piping.
<br />New 8 -26 Runway Project Utilities Location, Relocation, and Addition, Miami International Airport,
<br />Miami, Florida. Project Engineer in charge of the location, relocation, and addition of all Utilities within the
<br />Construction Limits of the New 8 -26 Runway Project. Responsible for phasing the construction of all Utilities while
<br />maintaining services to existing tenants and airport facilities. Design includes the alignment and elevation selection
<br />of water and sewer lines to avoid conflicts with FAA, Electric, Communications, Fuel, and other existing lines.
<br />Design of Wastewater Collection System, Pahokee Correction Facility, Pahokee, Florida. Project
<br />Manager for design of Wastewater Collection System, Lift Station, Water Supply and Fire Supply Systems, serving
<br />the Youthful correction complex. Responsible for study /report of existing systems and expected load calculations for
<br />impacts to existing plant facilities.
