<br />SR- 704 /Okeechobee Boulevard from Jog Road to Florida's Turnpike, Palm Beach County, Florida
<br />(1/13/03 - 1/24/05). Acting as Engineer of Record Mr. Pippitt was in responsible charge of all design elements of
<br />the roadway design. Specifically related to Design Group 3.3, Mr. Pippitt designed the maintenance of traffic plan
<br />for the section of Florida's Turnpike to facilitate the construction of two new pedestrian overpasses.
<br />SR- 820/Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines, Florida. These improvements along SR -820 were designed in a
<br />cooperative effort between the FDOT and the City of Pembroke Pines to facilitate needed roadway improvements in
<br />the City. These projects included milling and resurfacing, pavement reconstruction, widening, drainage, permitting,
<br />sidewalk, utility construction and relocation. ($21,000,000)
<br />Pembroke Roadway Corridor Improvements, Pembroke Pines, Florida. These improvements to seven
<br />project segments in southwest Pembroke Pines included milling resurfacing, roadway widening, median
<br />construction, pavement reconstruction, drainage, permitting, sidewalk, signing and maintenance of traffic.

<br />Hallandale Beach Boulevard Bridge, Hallandale, Florida. Design work to replace the existing bascule bridge
<br />over the Intracoastal Waterway with twin bascule structures. Also included flyover structure at Hallandale Beach
<br />Boulevard (SR -858) and Ocean Drive (SR -A1A) intersection, lh -mile of roadway reconstruction and widening,
<br />lighting, signalization, landscaping, permitting, utility coordination and ROW mapping for acquisition. ($62,900,000)
<br />1 -95 Weigh -in- Motion Stations Design, FDOT, Martin County, Florida (7/00 - 9/02). Mr. Pippitt acted as the
<br />department's liaison and spokesperson for the design for construction of two weigh stations on 1 -95 in Martin County
<br />for FDOT's Motor Carrier Compliance Office. Blend of roadway and site development included grading, paving,
<br />drainage, architectural, lighting, permits, utilities, signalization, weigh -in- motion instrumentation, surveillance system
<br />and lighting dissipation system. ($36,895,000)
<br />1 -95 HOV from Forest Hill Boulevard to South of Southern Boulevard, Palm Beach County, Florida (1/01
<br />- 9/02). Mr. Pippitt acted as the department's liaison and spokesperson for the design for the addition of HOV lanes
<br />on this section 1 -95. Project included milling and resurfacing, widening, drainage, permitting, utilities, lighting,
<br />retaining walls, and bridge widening. ($6,904,000)
<br />1 -95 HOV from North of Southern Boulevard to North of Congress Avenue, Palm Beach County,
<br />Florida (1/01 - 9/02). Mr. Pippitt acted as the department's liaison and spokesperson for the design for the
<br />addition of HOV lanes on this section 1 -95. Project included milling and resurfacing, widening, drainage,
<br />permitting, utilities, lighting, retaining walls, and replacement of two bridges crossing 1 -95. ($35,040,000)
<br />SR- 805/SR -5 Dixie Highway /Olive Avenue Corridor Improvements. These seven projects along US -1
<br />were designed in a cooperative effort between the FDOT and the City of West Palm Beach to facilitate needed
<br />roadway improvements and redevelopment efforts in the City. These projects included milling and resurfacing,
<br />pavement reconstruction, drainage, permitting curb and gutter, sidewalk, utility construction and relocation,
<br />signing and signalization. The projects also provided for traffic calming and aesthetic enhancements: roadway
<br />narrowing, decorative lighting, raised intersection design, landscaped bulb -outs and the construction of circular
<br />plaza. ($38,007,000)
<br />Deputy District Design Engineer, FDOT District 4 (4/84 - 11/93). While working in this position Mr. Pippitt
<br />was responsible for Phase reviews of plans developed by both In -House and Consultant design groups. Some of
<br />the Controlled Access Highway Design projects Mr. Pippitt reviewed were the addition of HOV lanes on Interstate 95
<br />throughout Broward County and the reconstruction of the toll facilities on Florida's Turnpike at the Commercial
<br />Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard interchanges.

<br />Project Development and Environmental (PD &E) Hallandale Beach Boulevard from 1 -95 to SR -7.
<br />This project assessed the impacts of reconstructing and widening SR -858 from a four lane divided to a six lane
<br />divided facility. The study examined the impacts for three different construction alternatives.
