Professional General Engineering Consultant for the North Bay Road Pedestrian and EmergencyVehicle Bridge, and the Town Center Park Observation Deck and Boardwalk Miami-Dade County The Team and Project Approach The Bermello Ajamil Team fully understands the complexities and the challenges facing the City of Sunny Isles Beach, To achieve a successful outcome for this project, we must effectively balance the technical design requirements including: incorporating transportation design elements, accommodating architectural desires for the pedestrian plaza, developing staged construction options, securing the approval of all permitting agencies, and addressing stakeholder concerns - while at the same time meeting the project schedule and budget. To address all of the needs for the project we assembled a team with specific talents with the available resources to start the project immediately, Bermello Ajamil & Partners (B&A), as the prime consultant, is uniquely qualified to lead this effort, B&A, with a staff of over 250 people is headquartered in Miami and provides transportation, civil, landscape, architectural and construction services. In addition to our technical capabilities, B&A has an in-house public relations team to assist the City of Sunny Isles Beach in obtaining stakeholder's approval. To define and design the structural aspects of the project we have bolstered our team with Miami based BCC Engineering (BCe) and Corven Engineering, Inc (CE), Combining BCC's design and plans production skill set with the CE's unmatched knowledge of specialty structures, we bring forth a sound structural group with a vision, In addition to our technical staff we have obtained the services of Carney Environmental Consulting Services (CES) with over30years experience environmental analysis, design and monitoring on projects ranging from planning to construction, Our team's staff is creative, functional and resource laden with the experience necessary to complete this project, Our approach for successfully completing this project will be to identify and resolve the elements of special focus and address the other major issues during the early stages of the project, To resolve such issues, our team proposes using the proven process of developing a "Project Issues Memorandum", This Memorandum is developed during the 15% level of design and includes all of concepts and alternatives developed to this point with any significant issues that may have been discovered. The Team then presents the Memorandum to the City with recommendations for their review and concurrence in an open forum, This would includes areas such as: bridge spans and geometry, aesthetics, boardwalk materials, construction phasing and environmental impacts.
