Lauderdale, Florida 2005 - February 2007 Project Engineer Short Term Intersection Improvement Project for Okeechobee Road. Florida Department of Transportation, District 6 for three intersections: Krome Avenue, NW 138 Street to NW 105 Way. Responsibilities included final roadway design for the milling, resurfacing and widening of the 3 intersections. Also included preparation of signing & pavement marking plans and signalization, estimate, electronic delivery and specification package. SR-BO (Southern Boulevard) from West of Florida's Turnpike to Haverhill Road in Palm Beach County. This project is currently under construction for the Florida Department of Transportation, District 4. Responsibilities included review and address Request for Information (RFI) documents submitted by the Contractor and CEI, as well as Shop Drawing submittals. Attended field construction meetings. The proposed improvements include the preparation of construction plans for widening, reconstruction, resurfacing and new construction. Fort Lauderdale - Hollywood International Airport. Broward Aviation Department. Responsible for scheduling and cost estimates. Expansion coordination of multi-task efforts including roadway design, maintenance of traffic, utilities, signing and pavement markings, and drainage. Crandon Boulevard at McIntyre, Village of Key Biscayne. Responsibilities included post-design services for the signalized intersection. Coordinating with Miami-Dade County Traffic Signals and Signs, Contractors and owner representative. Parsons Transportation Group, Miami, Florida 1993 - 2005 Civil Engineer MIA Station Relocation, Tri-Rail. Responsible for the design of a proposed sanitary sewer and water main for Tri-Rail station. Also included design of utility coordination, permitting, agreements, signing and pavement markings and lighting for the parking area. Design Services for Sunpass Challenge. The project includes modifications to various toll plazas on the Florida's Turnpike System. The project sites are located in the following toll roads. Heft, Mainline Southern Coin System, Sawgrass Expressway and Polk Parkway. Responsible for design of Signing & Pavement Markings, Lighting and Utility Relocation and certification for a total of 20 sites where included. Elements of work included roadway and ramp widening, architectural, drainage, signing and pavement markings, lighting, utility relocations, maintenance of traffic and environmental permitting. Sawgrass Expressway for Florida's Turnpike. Responsible for design of Signing and Pavement Markings for roadway widening of Sawgrass Expressway from Sunrise Boulevard to Atlantic Boulevard. Design of signs included use of the Guidesign GS40 Software. MICIMIA Connector. Responsible for Design of APM guideway alignment, utility coordination, and preparation of project reports for the MIC/MIA Connector an automated people mover between Miami International Airport and the proposed Miami Intermodal Center.
