Responsible for checking all the steel shop drawings, RFl's and construction related issues. <br /> <br />S.R. 80 Over S.R. 7, Palm Beach County, Florida - FDOT District VII <br />This is a three (3) spans continuous steel plate girders bridge (39 m - 60 m - 39 m, out-to-out = 35.150 m). Dr. Sadough <br />was in charge of the BDR and she participated in the Steel Plate Girders final Design, Field Splices and <br />Miscellaneous Details. She also checked the framed multi - columns piers including the foundation on <br />prestressed concrete piles. <br /> <br />Benoist Farms Road Over C-51 Canal, Palm Beach County, Florida - FDOT District IV <br />This is five (5) spans AASHTO Type II Modified Prestressed Beams Bridge built in stages. Project Engineer and designer <br />of the pile bents in phases. Also Dr. Sadough was in charge of the BDR and 30 % Bridge Plans. <br /> <br />Sawgrass Expressway 1 National Car Rental Center (NCRC) Interchange - Broward County, Florida <br />The structure is a three span twin steel box girder system 525 feet in length, curved & on tangent and 40 feet wide. To <br />establish the lowest bridge profile to accommodate a touchdown far enough in advance of the toll plaza, a single pier <br />substructure was provided and cantilevered the twin steel box girders by the use of a cross girder of the same depth <br />(Integral Pier Cap). Dr. Sadough performed the following design activities: <br /> <br />a. Pot Bearing Design and Jacking of the superstructure. <br />b. Checked the Load Rating of the Bridge. <br /> <br />Westbound Gandy Bridge, Pinellas/Hillsborough County - FDOT District VII <br />(Segmental Bulb-Tee with Drop-In-Beams longitudinally post-tensioned) <br />This high level fixed bridge over the ICWW in Tampa is 14,000 feet long. The navigable main unit consists of three <br />continuous spans 144'-234. 5'-144' of five segmental bulb-T girders with special haunched sections at the supports. The <br />approach spans consisted of two alternates, Florida bulb-T and AASHTO Types IV and VI beams, with the bulb-T option <br />selected based on low bid. The bridge is founded on drilled shafts designed to sustain ship impact forces of 2,400 kips. Dr. <br />Sadough designed the end bents and Low & Medium - Level and High Level Piers subjected to ship impact. Also, <br />she participated in the Quality Control of the design of the longitudinally post-tensioned Bulb.T Beams of the <br />navigable main unit.. <br /> <br />1-951 Palm Beach International Airport Interchange, Palm Beach County, Florida - FDOT District IV <br />Precast Segmental <br />Dr. Sadough was the Project Engineer responsible for all structural design aspects of this new three level <br />interchange which has fourteen bridges totaling 5 km in length, including eight concrete precast segmental bridges (4.5 km) <br />and six steel plate girder bridges (0.5 km); and Load Rating of all Segmental Bridges. The segmental portion of the project <br />consists of curved precast segmental concrete box girders with a maximum curvature radius of 114 m. Single box cells <br />carry one and two lanes of traffic with superelevations as high as ten percent. The spans vary from 35 to 72 m and the <br />typical segment is 3 m long. The longest ramp bridge is 1005 m in length. <br /> <br />a. Participated with the chief structural engineer in the Bridge Development Report and 30% Preliminary Plans for the <br />entire interchange. <br />b. Design of the longitudinal analysis using the BD2-Time Dependant Program and also in the transverse analysis of all <br />the ramps. <br />c. Performed / Checked the load rating of several bridges by the LRFR Method. <br />d. Responsible for the checking of all the steel shop drawings, RFl's and construction related issues. <br /> <br />S.R. 826 (Palmetto Expressway) Section 2 -Miami-Dade County, FL - FOOT District VI <br />Dr. Sadough checked the design of the L- Shape portions of the foundation for the 3,190' Sound Barrier. She also checked <br />the design and plans of the Temporary Sheet Piling for 13 Phases of MOT. <br />
