",- - "/... <br />~ ,~. . ,-,0 ... <br />~ ~ " :.r~~~ ...Q' <br /> <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH <br />REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS NO. 07-04-02 <br />HERITAGE PARK PARKING GARAGE <br /> <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The following Scope of Services has been developed in response to the Sunny Isles Beach <br />Request for Qualifications to provide Architectural/Engineering services for the Heritage Park <br />Parking Garage. <br /> <br />Phase 1: Conceptual Design and Schematic Phase <br /> <br />1. Meet with representatives of the City to review project requirements, budget, schedule, site <br />boundaries, traffic access and interaction with other buildings. <br /> <br />2. Obtain copy of parking and circulation study previously prepared. <br /> <br />3. Review 2000 City Master Plan and any updates. <br /> <br />4. Prepare geotechnical investigation and site survey. <br /> <br />5. Prepare traffic study if not already available. <br /> <br />6. Discuss the architectural concepts and the level of access control and security expected for <br />the parking structure. TimHaahs' primary consideration will be architectural fa<;ade treatment <br />to meet the style and functionality of the site and respecting the existing surroundings <br />theme, and depict on Architectural rendering. <br /> <br />7. Perform a City of Sunny Isles Beach Zoning and Florida Building Code review and, if <br />necessary, discuss with the Fire Marshall and other appropriate code officials their <br />requirements and expectations concerning the parking structure. <br /> <br />8. Coordinate the additional components in the northwest corner of the garage: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Vertipack trash compactor <br />Chiller <br />Emergency generator <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />9. Based upon input received from the above tasks, further develop several functional schemes <br />to include a preliminary striping layout, location of accessible parking spaces, retail spaces, <br />entrance/exit layouts, number of parking spaces, stair/elevator locations, slopes of the <br />parking ramps, restricted parking areas, stacking areas, etc. <br /> <br />10. Perform an internal flow analysis to confirm the traffic carrying capacity of the ramping system <br />and to determine the proper number and configuration of entry and exit lanes. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Discuss Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) operational <br />requirements, such as hours of operation, user types, expected per hour volumes, <br />etc. <br />Evaluate PARCS in terms of costs, remote site reporting, etc. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />11. Prepare a final Schematic Design Package that will include: <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Drawings for all parking floor plans <br />Location of ancillary and retail spaces <br />Recommended structural system and foundation system <br />Internal traffic isometric <br />Car counts <br />Preliminary cost estimate <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />12.
