The quality control procedures
will essentially confirm and record that complete and accurate project documentation,
design calculations and documents, and construction drawings have been developed
for all interrelated disciplines. The following steps will be taken to assure that high
quality products and services are provided to the City:

· Develop a project work plan that establishes project specifics.
· Assign tasks to qualified individuals who perform and document the technical
work.
· Conduct peer reviews of work tasks by an independent person(s) highly qualified
in roadway and structural design and construction.
· Determine whether the work products conform to the work plan, project schedule,
and that they satisfy the City's needs.
· Continually review the work products, including accuracy and consistency
checks, until the work products meet the project requirements.

The Design Quality Control is a continuous and iterative process of coordination,
communication, review, checking, back checking, and rechecking of all project
components and documents, including the technical accuracy and adequacy,
constructability, maintainability, and efficiency of the design. As part of the plan
preparation process, our in-house construction services group will provide
constructability reviews. The objective of this review type is to improve the design
whenever possible, improve construction duration, prevent problems and avoid changes
during the actual construction, receive good bids, and promote safe vehicular and
construction equipment movement during the construction of the project. RS&H will
utilize the following five-step QC review procedure:
1. Ready for review - responsible professionals endorse that the component plan set
is complete
2. Review - reviewers endorse that they concur that the plans have been reviewed
3. Concurrence - responsible professionals endorse that they concur with the review
comments and responses
4. Incorporation - responsible professionals endorse that the changes have been
incorporated into the plans
5. Verification - reviewers verify that the changes have been incorporated.

IIS6.

'."ROV'NG YOUR WORLD

6
