<br />Professional Experience <br />· Maintained Ceres corporate headquarters operations during mobilization and operation of Ceres' <br />$500 million contract with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for Hurricane Katrina recovery in <br />Louisiana. <br />· Arranged bonding and bank financing for the $500 million Katrina project. <br />· Manage corporate wood waste processing, air curtain burning, composting, and UST divisions. <br />Responsibilities include: contract procurement, negotiations, and compliance; technology <br />advancement; personnel management and training; project planning; and job-costing analysis. <br />Projects typically run concurrently in several states and have generated total revenues exceeding $20 <br />million dollars. Responsible for the direct supervision of Assistant Burning Managers and related <br />technical advancements and quality control. <br />· Provided management support to numerous private and municipal land-clearing projects. Many of the <br />projects were accomplished through open burning, while others were completed only by mechanical <br />means. Land-clearing projects have included county and state road improvement projects, utility road <br />improvements, and private land development projects. <br />· Responsible for providing public educational seminars relating to company wood waste processing <br />and composting sites and related technologies. More recent guest speaking engagements include: <br />"Storms over the Urban Forest," hosted by the U.S Forest Service; the Solid Waste Association of <br />North America Conference; and the Bio-Cycle National Conference. <br />· Responsible for corporate and project financing; insurance administration; public relations; and <br />customer service activities. <br />· Responsible for the coordination and execution of corporate marketing activities. During the past 22 <br />years, annual revenues have increased from $250,000 to over $250 million. <br />· Several years of prior forestry experience in association with municipal and state government <br />agencies. His past years of project management experience with FEMA, <br />both prior to and after its incorporation into the Department of Homeland Security, provide him with the <br />knowledge to ensure all applications for reimbursable work are correctly made and documentation in the <br />field is adequate for later funding. <br />Professional Experience <br />· Former Project Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security - FEMA, with experience <br />following several hurricanes and the September 11 terrorist attacks. <br />· Disaster Relief in various stages for FEMA as National Project Officer, including supervision and <br />training of personnel. Worked with local government on FEMA's behalf to identify damage or disaster- <br />related costs, develop a scope of work eligible for Federal funding, prepare cost estimates, and <br />prepare grant documents capturing the information for processing of various categories A-G. <br />· Coordinated monitoring and oversaw debris operations with FEMA during the relief efforts for <br />Hurricane Katrina in the Gulf Coast and South Florida areas. Participated in Individual Assistance as <br />well as Public Assistance pertaining to damage assessments for Federal eligibility of funding. <br />· Supervised and trained personnel on disaster response and relief efforts for the September 11 <br />terrorist attacks in New York and for Hurricanes Isabel, Charley, Frances, Ivan, and Jeanne including <br />monitoring debris disposal, removal operations, mobile home operations, and construction <br />inspections.
