Preus, Director, Program Manager <br /> <br />Management Responsibilities <br />Mr. Preus has worked for Ceres for nine years and is responsible for directing activities associated with <br />Ceres' Emergency Management Services Division. Mr. Preus provides guidance to various executives <br />and managers of the Emergency Response Team during the preparatory, mobilization, and <br />implementation phases of an emergency response action. Mr. Preus is active in the acquisition and <br />performance of disaster recovery contracts and monitors compliance with applicable regulations and <br />contract requirements. <br />Professional Experience <br />· Project Manager of over 60 disaster recovery contracts totaling more than $165 million, including <br />those listed below. Projects include recovery after damage from hurricanes, tornadoes, ice storms, <br />wind storms, and floods. <br />· Operations Manager, Private Property Debris Removal, for the Hurricane Katrina response $500 <br />million debris contract with the USACE. <br />· Project Manager of five Blue Roof Disaster Recovery contracts following six hurricanes over eight <br />years. Supervised the successful installation of repairs to more than 40,000 homes under emergency <br />conditions with no lost time accidents. Mobilized work forces that totaled at times more than 800 <br />workers. Ceres installed roof repairs in 32 counties in Mississippi, 12 Florida counties, and six of eight <br />zones in Puerto Rico. <br />· Managed the Ceres Environmental response to Hurricane Isabel in 2003-2004 in Isle of Wight <br />County, Virginia. Mobilized and operated load and haul crews, tub grinders, an air curtain incinerator, <br />and various field crews to remove, reduce, and dispose of hurricane debris, and provide cleanup <br />services in an historical fort under special archeological restrictions. Cleaned the County and two <br />principal cities while maintaining an excellent safety record. <br />· Project Manager of the Kansas City Ice Storm cleanup of 2002. Hauled 510,000 cubic yards in 16 <br />days and met the City's deadlines for completion of work while maintaining very high safety <br />standards. <br />· Project Manager of a Debris Hauling contract awarded to Ceres by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />in response to Hurricane Georges. Mr. Preus was responsible for the successful completion of this <br />contract that required the transportation of approximately 600,000 cubic yards of hurricane debris. <br />The project utilized Ceres employees and five sub-contracted companies and was completed <br />successfully while maintaining an excellent safety record. <br />· Project Manager of Debris Reduction contract awarded to Ceres by the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers in response to Hurricane Georges. From October 1998 through June 1999, approximately <br />2.5 million cubic yards of hurricane debris were processed on five principal sites and 15 satellite sites. <br />· Vice President and Manager with more than 10 years of management and executive-level experience <br />in the construction industry, the manufacturing sector, and in real estate development.
