Although we were not the primary contractor on this project, our <br />superior work and management ultimately led to the award of the pre-event contract for Cape <br />Coral. <br /> <br />Q EVENT TYPE 6: CATASTROPHIC EVENT - SITE MANAGEMENT - CITY/COUNTY <br />WIDE <br /> <br />This type of event will be managed in much the same way as Event Type 5 but with the <br />inclusion of additional services. Such services will include temporary power, temporary housing, <br />water, and ice services, if necessary. Furthermore, additional crews, equipment, and <br />supervisory and support personnel will be provided as necessary. Although we have adequate <br />manpower and equipment to manage a large portion of this size project, assistance from <br />subcontractors will ~e necessary. Please refer to our subcontractor policy for more information. <br /> <br />An example of our response to this type of event is our assistance to Ft. Walton Beach, <br />Florida in response to damage from Hurricane Charlie where we assisted City personnel in the <br />removal of eligible debris from the public ROW, trimming damaged limbs and broken trees, <br />managing the TDSRS to include reduction and disposal of debris. Furthermore, we assisted the <br />City with the filing of necessary paperwork with FEMA to receive reimbursement. Although we <br />were not initially the primary contractor on this project, we were called by the City to respond <br />when the primary contractor failed to do so. We moved in to the area approximately 3:00 a.m., <br />were assisted by local police in confiscating a hotel for temporary housing and office area, and <br />began work by 10:00 a.m. that same morning. <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />All events, regardless of size or nature, adversely affect life for local citizens and it is our <br />mission to provide quality, efficient, and timely response to your City. We provide yearly <br />training sessions, which include the most current information available from FEMA regarding <br />public assistance rules and regulations. Furthermore, this meeting allows us the opportunity to <br />formulate a personalized plan for responding to disasters to your area, including the assignment <br />of personnel responsible for the various areas of disaster response. Additionally, TAG has on its <br />staff two former employees that are well versed and experienced with site management and <br />FEMA requirements, rules, and regulations that will be able to assist the City in the more <br />technical issues resulting from a disaster event. <br /> <br />For more detailed information or our generalized response to disasters, please refer to <br />the "Management Plan for the Project" or "Understanding of Project Requirements" sections of <br />the attached information or contact our office. <br /> <br />Q <br />
