<br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Services I Technical Specifications <br /> <br />3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the "City") a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, <br />Florida, requests qualified Proposers ("Proposers") to submit proposals for the design, fabrication, <br />and installation of a canopy structure along with exterior stage lighting to be located at the <br />Heritage Park stage 19200 Collins Avenue in the City of Sunny Isles Beach. The services <br />requested include, but are not limited to, the following: <br /> <br />. Proposer must be a Florida State licensed Certified General Contractor with at least 10 <br />years of experience in the design, fabrication, and installation of canopies and electrical <br />design and installation. <br /> <br />. Proposer shall provide all labor, material, equipment, coordination, supervision, designs, <br />and any other service/task that would enable the proposer to provide a 100% approved <br />turn-key project related to the design, fabrication, and installation of an acceptable <br />canopy structure at Heritage Park and an adequate and acceptable electrical lighting <br />system (stage lighting). <br /> <br />· Proposer shall include a lighting system that shall be used for the stage. Lighting system <br />shall be manufactured by Altman Lighting (OD 600A series). Lights must be extruded <br />aluminum designed for portable or permanent installations in wet locations, incorporate a <br />highly polished reflector designed to operate most efficiently with the new generation of <br />750-watt tungsten halogen lamps. The housing must be of cast aluminum for maximum <br />durability. <br /> <br />· Lighting components must be of noncorrosive material and water tight with gaskets. <br /> <br />· Lighting must be mounted to the main canopy support structures on an acceptable track <br />system. Lighting controls: REMOTE controlled and easily accessed. <br /> <br />· Lighting must be able to be removed easily from the support structures. Straps will not <br />be accepted. <br /> <br />· All wiring MUST be through the canopy support structure no wiring will be allowed to be <br />visible. <br /> <br />· Lighting shall be commercial grade and easily removed. Proposer shall ensure that the <br />electrical calculations are provided and the electrical load can be added to the existing <br />panels behind the stage. Proposer may contact electrical contractor who installed the <br />existing electrical components at Heritage Park (i.e. Southeast Florida Electric attn: Rick). <br /> <br />· Proposer shall provide a 100% approved fabric canopy design for the Heritage Park <br />stage. It is anticipated that the canopy will cover no less than 75% of the stage area. <br /> <br />· The City would like to ensure that the proposers consider the following elements: <br />o Corrosion resistant structure, supports, and connections <br />o Ease of removal of fabric <br />o The ability to run electrical to the main columns of the support for future lighting <br />to be installed on the columns. <br />o Reduce obstructions or increased visibility onto the stage. <br />o Design shall complement the area and not detract from the final Heritage Park <br />design. <br />o The proposal shall have sufficient information so that the City staff can <br />comprehend what is entailed in the design. <br /> <br />PAGE 23 OF 34 <br />BID No. 11-04-02 <br />
