This ranges from the work product that <br />is produced in preconstruction, to ultimately the end product that is <br />constructed. To ensure quality is designed into the project, Weitz reviews <br />plans, suggests design details, building materials, and building systems <br />that deliver the level of quality that you are seeking. As one example, <br />the decisions made regarding the exterior enclosure of the building are <br />without question extremely important given the harsh environment of <br />South Florida. The Weitz Company has the knowledge to ensure that <br />your project will perform as expected in all design conditions by providing <br />input and options on roofing systems, glazing systems, caulking details, <br />and flashing details based on 30 years of experience in Florida. These <br />systems and details need to be well thought-out in preconstruction so <br />that they are coordinated and incorporated on the drawings before the <br />project is under contract. <br /> <br />A tool that The Weitz Company employs during the construction phase <br />is the use of mock-ups and first in-place installations where appropriate. <br />Although this is not new or revolutionary it can be an invaluable tool to <br />identify issues and more importantly set expectations for fit and finish. <br /> <br />The Weitz Company will utilize our Quality Control Field Manual on your <br />project. This manual combinines lessons learned and best practices that <br />have been developed on Weitz projects nationwide. The QNQC program <br />starts during preconstruction, with meetings held shortly after the trade <br />award, and Pre-installation meetings held prior to work commencing in the <br />field. This manual guarantees that details are understood and performed <br />successfully in the field. The ultimate goal is a level of quality assurance <br />and quality control that result in a zero item punch list at completion. This <br />is accomplished by proper planning and "real time" supervision while <br />materials are being installed.
