City of Sunny Isles Beach: Special Inspection Services RFO No. 11-07-11 c As standard protocol. which occurs at the completion of construction, URS certifies to FOOT that the projects have been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications. In summary, through URS' successful design and construction CEI experience on some of the most notable and challenging bridge projects in Florida, URS has demonstrated that our design and CEI staff have a complete and full understanding of the acceptable methods of bridge design and construction methodologies that need to be applied to design and successfully complete any given project. The URS team detailed in this RFP is geared to provide the City with key personnel who have direct experience on many of these challenging bridge projects and who will bring to the City a wealth of experience in foundation and bridge construction. Additionally, proposed team members have extensive experience with geotechnical conditions in the Sunny Isles Beach area as well as with the design and construction considerations involved with deep foundation systems (i.e. driven piles, ACIP pies and drilled shafts). 2.4 REPRESENTATIVE CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT SERVICES URS has also grown to become one of Florida's top providers of construction program management and construction engineering and design services. Over the years, we have developed an expertise in federally and publicly funded projects, where we have worked with clients to successfully complete some of the most significant projects in Florida's history. Our recent work program management work includes many high-profile projects such as the SR 704 Bridge of Lions, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County and the Palm Beach Convention Center in West Palm Beach. c It is anticipated that construction administration and project management services will include, but not be limited, to the following: . Precast yard - pre-stressed pile fabrication inspections . Pile/Pier foundation load testing and installation inspection and documentation . Pier deck construction inspection . Restaurant Facility construction inspection . Construction Material Sampling and Testing . Special Inspector Inspections . Underground utility installations and connections . Pavement milling and resurfacing of roadways . Roadway / Bridge abutment soil compaction inspection and testing . Oversight management and review of Submittal and RFls and status of resolution . Review and recommendations regarding any non-compliance notifications . Change Order review and independent cost analysis and evaluations of proposed changes . Review of Contractor's construction progress, schedule and critical path compliance . Oversight of Contractor's performance regarding safety . Review and recommendation to pay Contractor's application for payment . On-site observations and reports on Contractor's construction progress .
