<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach: Special Inspection Services <br />RFONo.11-07-11 <br /> <br />C CM/Design Proiect #6 - SFWMD Stormwater Treatment Area 2 <br /> <br />The design and construction of ST A -6 Section 2 Flow-way 3 will help to provide significant improvement in <br />the ability to treat storm water flows from the 170,000 Acre C-139 Basin and the C-139 Basin Annex in <br />Hendry County, Florida. The proposed ST A-6 Section 2 Flow-way is located just North of constructed and <br />operational ST A-6 Flow-way Cells 3 and 5. ST A-6 Section 2 Flow-way provided for the additional <br />construction of 1 ,440 acres of new () . <br />impoundments in a 1.5 mile by 1.5 mile square <br />impoundment/treatment area. <br /> <br /> <br />As part of the design development process, <br />detailed Hydraulic Modeling and Geotechnical <br />Engineering of the proposed expansion was <br />completed in late 2005. Detailed Civil, <br />Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Designs i. <br />were completed in September, 2005 and the <br />project construction was completed in July <br />2007.
