PO/OI PE (cont'd.) <br /> <br />,,- <br />~ <br /> <br />shoulder re-work, milling and resurfacing, sod and new guardrail <br />installation, signing and pavement markings. <br /> <br />Senior Project Engineer, West Palm Beach Bridge Deck Clearance <br />Upgrade on Florida's Turnpike, Palm Beach County, Florida (10/07 <br />-02/08): This bridge jacking project of the ON & OFF SB Ramp at <br />Okeechobee Blvd. on Florida's Turnpike at tvfP 99 consisted of jacking <br />the existing steel on/ off Ramp bridge 12 inches for additional clearance <br />of the vehicular traffic below. Project includes jacking the bridge using <br />hydraulic jacks roadway, drainage installation, Superpave overbuild and <br />structural asphalt and FC, sod installation, existing street lighting repair, <br />and sil:,ming and pavement markings. <br /> <br />c <br /> <br />Senior Project Engineer, Jog Road Partial Interchange at Florida's <br />Turnpike, Florida's Turnpike Enterprise, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida <br />(11/05-10/07): This $13 million project consists of the construction of <br />two new ramps (on and off Sunpass Only ramps) with their respective toll <br />plaza buildings - one to incorporate to Florida Turnpike (south bound) <br />from J og Road (cast and west bound) and one to exit the Turnpike from <br />northbound to Jog Road. The project includes a Mechanically Stabilized <br />Earth (MSE) wall and extensive sub-t,>rade and earthwork, bridge <br />construction, Superpave asphalt and friction course, drainage, ponds, a <br />1000 LF of 13' x 10' box culvert, toll plazas, gantry installation, <br />landscaping, lighting and signalization systems, and signing and pavement <br />markings. Somc of the duties include the inspection and monitoring of <br />underground utilities installation such as electric conduits and lines for <br />electric power cntries for Sunpass installations, street light lincs and main <br />powcrs lines for facilities at the toll plaza. The construction of a box <br />culvert will allow water to flow from the left side of the canal under ramp <br />A. Also, provided inspection activitics and monitoring of construction <br />operation to ensurc bridge and roadway construction was in close <br />conformance to plans and specifications. <br /> <br />c <br /> <br />Project Engineer, Royal Park Bridge Replacement, FDOT District <br />Four, Palm Beach County, Florida (06/01-10/05): The new $52 <br />million facility consists of a pair of parallel trunnion bascule bridges <br />constructed in one phase. A four-lane temporary bridge ,vas utilized for <br />construction staging. The structure for the bascule span includes a <br />superstructure of steel plate girders with a composite exodermic deck and <br />a substructure consisting of conventional bascule piers which enclose the <br />counterweight along with the machinery and electrical equipment. The <br />bascule piers are supported on 1.22m-diameter drilled shafts. The <br />superstructure type for the approach spans is a precast concrete segmental <br />box girder and a substructure consisting of cast-in-place or precast <br />concrete piers supported on a cast-in-place foundation cap with 1.22m- <br />diameter drilled shafts. The span length for the bascule span is 56m <br />between centerline of trunnions and 61m between the centerline of <br />foundations of the bascule piers.
