CGA <br />coordinated the permitting and design consultants as well as the state and federal agencies and to <br />date accomplished: <br /> <br />o A USACE RAI was received April 26, 2011. Response is pending. Issues: Seagrass mitigation, <br />endangered species, wetlands fill (berm), construction methodology, navigational access, <br />conservation easement. <br /> <br />o A meeting with DERM was held on April 28, 2011 10:00am at DERM offices to review the <br />unresolved issues: Covenant, conservation easement, co-applicant submerged lands, <br />resident objections, seagrass and mangrove mitigation. <br /> <br />o A telephone conference with SFWMD was held May 4, 2011. An RAI was received May 9, <br />2011. Response is pending. Issues: S&S construction plans and calculations, mitigation - <br />mangroves and seagrass (on-site), construction methodologies, impacts to Conservation <br />Easement, USCG approval. <br /> <br />o The city is coordinating the co-applicant issues <br /> <br />. CGA is currently coordinating the permitting consultant with the preparation of an updated <br />mitigation plan necessary for submittal to the agencies <br /> <br />. CGA has reviewed the current design plans and assessed the missing components and is prepared <br />to address the issues in the areas of: <br /> <br />o Civil Engineering Drainage Plans & Calculations <br />o Roadway Design, geometric Plans & Cross Sections <br />o Pavement Markings & Signage <br />o Street Lighting <br /> <br />The following is an item-by-item disclosure outlining how the firm meets or exceeds the requirements of <br />this RFQ. <br /> <br />Construction Administration and Project Management <br /> <br />1. Support Responsibilities- CGA has, in the past, successfully fulfilled the role of support <br />responsibilities in many different capacities throughout the past year of SIB's Capital Improvement <br />Projects. CGA has a close working relationship with the Assistant City Manager and the Public <br />Works Director. This close working relationship allows us to provide the proper deliverables and <br />updates in the City's preferred format from day one, no learning curve will be required. <br /> <br />a. Daily inspection logs will be kept by the CGA CPR and signed and sealed inspection reports <br />will be generated by the subcontracted Pile Inspector, Special/Structural Inspector and <br />Geotechnical Engineer. These reports will be submitted in a weekly format to the City for <br />their review and records. <br /> <br />b. CGA has knowledge and experience working with Construction Scheduling and will provide <br />the City with a baseline schedule to which the weekly updated schedule can be compared to. <br />This will highlight any areas of construction that are either ahead of or behind schedule. <br /> <br />RFQ #11-07-01, Special Inspection Services, Including Geotechnical/Construction Administration <br /> <br />Page 212 <br />
