Summary Minutes; Regular City Commission Meeting June 17,2004 City of Sunny Isles Beach, Rorida 9B. PUBLIC HEARING A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Accepting the Conveyance of Approximately 0.897 Acres of Property (The "Benhamou Property"), Legally Described as Tract "A" of Golden View, According to the Plat Thereof, Recorded in Plat Book 154, Page 68, of the Public Records of Miami- Dade County, Florida, alkla the Northeast Corner of 183RD Street at North Bay Road, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida and Owned by L.M.D. Associates, Ltd., a Florida Limited Partnership ("Applicant"), in Accordance with and Subject to all of the Applicable Provisions of the City Code and Section 265-23 of the City's Land Development Regulations ("LDRs") Relating to Transfers of Development Rights (''TDRs'') Except as may be Waived by the City Commission; Scheduling a Closing Date and Providing for Required Documents to Effectuate the City's Acceptance of the Benhamou Property and Severence of the TDRs; Further Authorizing the Mayor to Execute Such Other Documents and Agreements as may be Determined by the City Attorney to be Necessary to Consummate the Conveyance of the Benhamou Property to the City, Sever Development Rights from the Benhamou Property and Deposit Same to the Credit of the Applicant in the TDR Bank, Subsequent Withdrawal of Said Development Rights at the Request of, and for the Benefit of, the Applicant as may be Approved by the City Commission During the Five Year Period Commencing with the Passage of this Resolution, and Recordation of Documentation; and Providing for an Effective Date. Action: Mayor Edelcup announced that Stanley Price, Esq., requested additional time to negotiate some of the terms of the transfer with City Manager Russo, and asked for a deferral. Public Speakers: none Commissioner Brezin moved and Commissioner Iglesias seconded a motion for deferral, approved by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. 9C. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Authorizing a Special Event Permit to Trump Grande Ocean Resort & Residences to Host "X-Channel Launches Live on the Beach with "No Limits" the Ultimate Ramp Jam" and "Alex Morgan Race of the Stars" on Saturday July 24, August 28,2004 and Sunday, July 25, August 29,2004; Providing the City Manager the Authority to Do All Things Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. Action: City Clerk Hines read the title and Cultural and Human Services Director Susan Simpson reported that there have been changes including the dates that have changed to Saturday, August 28, 2004 and Sunday, August 29, 2004, and the VIP event will take place on Friday, August 27, 2004 including fireworks. 7
