Section 3 Scope of Services I Technical Specifications 3.1 SCOPE OF SERVICES The City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, (the "City'') a municipality located in Miami-Dade County, Florida, seeks Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") responses from interested roadway and traffic design and roadway construction engineering firms ("Consultants'') to submit relative qualifications and information for consideration. This RFQ is for the 100% complete design development to allow for the construction of a driveway cut off of Collins Avenue (SR AlA) south of 183rd Street into a privately-owned commercial property. The task of the Consultant shall include but shall not be limited to understanding and adequately applying FDOT roadway standards, providing a complete site/area assessment based on current information and field conditions, coordinating with City, Owner, FDOT staff, and other agencies as necessary to ensure that all elements of design and design implications are clearly identified, accepted, and incorporated into a final permissible design for construction, providing 100% complete designs for the implementation of the driveway curb-cuts where necessary and acceptable, and other services as deemed necessary. Attached to this RFQ is a Kimley-Horn Traffic report that was developed in order to provide a written justification of the necessary driveway cutis to both Miami Dade County and the Florida Department of Transportation. Consultant must provide sufficient information as part of this RFQ that clearly demonstrates the Consultant's ability to provide Traffic/Transportation/Civil/Consulting services in a prompt, effective, and efficient manner. This includes but is not limited to the Consultant's ability to coordinate with FDOT staff and Miami-Dade staff, City staff, private owners, and others for preliminary reviews and comments, the Consultant's ability to effectively move the project to fruition (from design development through permitting and subsequently to project close-out), and a list of the Consultant's previous projects of similar magnitude and implications. The services contemplated are professional in nature. It is understood that the selected Consultant is of a professional status, licensed to perform in the State of Florida and licensed for all applicable professional discipline(s) requiring licenses. 3.2 PROJECT GENERAL REOUIREMENTS A. Scope of Services If Consultant is approved under this RFQ to provide services, said scope must include the following: 1. Introduction describing the service 2, Project limits 3. Staff members 4. Description of Consultant duties and responsibilities of other agencies 5.
