All data is stored at the InterFleet" Data Centre indefinitely. The Data Centre includes a natural gas generator backup and 3 diverse paths to the internet and redundant hard drives. The Client is also extended the option of storing data on their site in addition to the InterFleet® Data Centre. This can be done through either quarterly issues of data discs or via an .XML data feed. Client Computers The InterFleet® solution is a browser based client application. No special software or licenses are required on the client computer in order to run InterFleet®. Clients require only Internet Explorer 5.5 or greater, a high speed internet connection, and both Java and ActiveX installed. Administration Password and access capabilities are configurable to meet Customer specific requirements and access is approved only after an authentication process. Furthermore, the website has multi -user functionality. Meaning, multiple end -users are able to access the information simultaneously from multiple computers, even while using the same login and password, thus the Customer does not have to create a login for each staff member that will be required to have access to the application. User login determines user privileges, including what vehicles are displayed and the functionality available on the user interface (i.e. Live Data vs. Management Site with Historical Data). The Customer can also segment different subfleets under different logins so that only vehicles under a users' responsibility or under different departments are displayed on the user interface. For example, supervisors for Public Works would have their own login with their own vehicles and supervisors for Waste Management would have their own login with their own vehicles. In addition, the Town would also have an Administrator Login with all Town vehicles. The Customer would be able to create as many logins as required with as many functionality levels and subfleets.
