*The Alliance for a Healthier Generation is a partnership between the American <br />Heart Association and the William J. Clinton Foundation. The partnership's goal is <br />to eliminate childhood obesity and to inspire all young people in the United States <br />to develop lifelong, healthy habits. The nutrition guidelines suggested by the <br />Alliance are intended to be used for 100% of food and beverages served on <br />school campuses. If used in this way, machines stickers would be unnecessary. Fit <br />Pick Option 2 stickers are useful to identify items which comply with Alliance <br />guidelines in schools or organizations that also include products which do not <br />comply with Alliance guidelines. Alliance for a Healthier Generation guidelines <br />include criteria that address sodium content, calories, portion size and /or <br />beverage criteria.
