<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 16-12-02 17 <br /> <br />2.23 BACKGROUND CHECKS <br /> <br />The successful Firm will be responsible for hiring the necessary personnel to conduct the <br />specified services and will comply with all federal, state, and local laws related to minimum <br />wage, social security, nondiscrimination, Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), <br />unemployment compensation, and workers’ compensation. All staff assigned to this contract <br />shall be required, at their sole cost and expense, to pass a criminal background check prior to <br />award of the contract. The criminal background check shall consist of a Florida Department of <br />Law Enforcement (“FDLE”) Florida Crime Information Center/National Crime Information Center <br />(“FCIC/NCIC”) criminal records check. Any employee not meeting this requirement will not be <br />permitted to work at any City facility. <br /> <br />2.24 WEEKLY PROGRESS REPORTS <br />The City shall require that the Contractor attend weekly progress meetings and provide reports on <br />the status of the project. The report shall include at the minimum the following information; <br /> <br /> Background on the project itself <br /> Discussion of the achievements since last reporting <br /> Discussion of problems that have arisen <br /> Discussion of work that lies ahead <br /> Two week look ahead schedule <br /> Update on estimated schedule and budget completion <br /> <br />2.25 TAXES <br /> <br />Contractor must pay all applicable sales, consumer, use and other taxes required by law. <br />Contractor is responsible for reviewing the pertinent state statutes involving state taxes and <br />complying with all requirements. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />END OF SECTION <br /> <br />
