<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 16-12-02 18 <br /> <br />Section 3 <br />Scope of Work / Technical Specifications <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />The Scope of Work consists of providing all labor, materials, means of transportations, equipment necessary <br />and all the required consulting engineer services for replacing the existing chiller, two alternate chilled <br />pumps and the 250A service to serve new chiller load. <br /> <br />Coordination with the City and other parties involved is required if any other circumstances happen during <br />the work unspecified by this Contract Documents. The Contractor has ultimate responsibility to perform <br />work in accordance with all rules and regulations that pertain to the industry which work is performed. <br />MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - The following minimum requirements will be considered in the review <br />of each bidder’s responsiveness. Failure to meet or exceed minimum re quirements will disqualify bidder <br />from consideration. <br /> <br />1. Licensure / Certification. The primary contractor does not need to hold GC license. However, each <br />sub-contractor must be licensed in their respective fields. In addition, the contractor may provide proof of <br />the following licenses/certificates, Miami-Dade County Air Conditioning Mechanical Journeyman license or <br />Florida Certified HVAC Contractors License, or a Certificate of Competency from the Miami-Dade County’s <br />Construction Trades Qualifying Board as a HVAC Contractor. Current licenses must be provided with bid, <br />and no personnel shall service City facilities without said licenses. <br /> <br />2. Similar Experience. Bidder shall demonstrate previous experience in regards to the requirements of this <br />solicitation for a period of no less than five (5) years in providing these services to at least one government <br />agency in the Tri-County area (Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach). <br /> <br />3. Bidder’s References. Bidders are to include a minimum of three (3) references from contractors or <br />projects the Bidder considers of a similar, size, scope and complexity. The attached form found in Section <br />4 is to be used and is to be included with the Bid submission. <br /> <br />4. SUBCONTRACTORS: <br /> <br />If one or more subcontractors are to be used, the subcontractor must be clearly identified and noted in the <br />submittal when it is submitted. The City must approve any changes in the use of subcontractors in advance <br />and in writing. No such approval will be construed as making the City a party to such subcontract, or <br />subjecting the City to liability of any kind to any subcontractor. No subcontra ctor will under any <br />circumstances relieve the Respondent of its liability and obligation under any resulting contract. <br />Subcontractor is subject to the same contractual conditions as is the Respondent. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
