<br />City of Sunny Isles Beach | Invitation to Bid No. 16-12-02 19 <br /> <br />TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS <br /> <br />1. The Pelican Community Park facility shall remain fully functional and operable at <br />all times. During the replacement period of the existing chillers, will be required a temporary <br />chiller service. The Temporary chiller shall be installed and full operational prior to the <br />disabling of the existing chillers. The mechanical contractor shall include the cost of the <br />temporary chiller service including its installation, operation, and removal. Prior to initiating <br />work, the successful bidder shall coordinate with the City to determine potential salvageability <br />of any existing system components. <br /> <br />2. The assembled chiller shall be completely capable of begin serviced and repaired in place <br />without the need of removal of a module. <br /> <br />3. The chiller shall have performance equal to or greater than that scheduled. Please refer to <br />the attached plans prepared by Florida Engineering Services (FES) dated April 19, 2016 for <br />detailed specifications. <br /> <br />4. As requested by the Building Department, Engineered Shoring/Bracing Plans and Shop <br />Drawings shall be provided by the Contractor as part of the permit requirements. <br /> <br />5. The Contractor shall be responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and tools <br />and shall provide all mechanical work, electrical work, low voltage wiring, insulation work, <br />controls, legal disposal of existing equipment, hosting permits, etc. <br /> <br />6. Work performed under this contract including finished products shall conform and adhere to <br />all applicable standards and specifications in the field. All the engineering documents and the <br />resulting installation of the HAVAC Chiller replacement, must be conform to the following <br />codes and standards: <br />a. FLORIDA BUILDING CODE 5TH ED. (2014) <br />b. FLORIDA BUILDING CODE MECHANICAL 5TH ED. (2014) <br />c. FLORIDA ENERGY CONSERVATION CODE 5TH ED. (2014) <br />d. FLORIDA FIRE PREVENTION CODE 5TH ED. (2014) <br />e. ASHRE 2009 FUNDAMENTALS HANDBOOK <br /> <br />7. The Contractor shall be solely responsible for obtaining all permits and licenses required to <br />perform the scope of work, including but not limited to the City of Sunny Isles Beach and any <br />other State, Local or Federal entities. <br />
