<br />Senior Project Engineer on this $11.2 million Local Agency Program (LAP) project between the City of Pembroke Pines
<br />and the Florida Department of Transportation, District 4. This is a federally funded project consisting of urbanized
<br />improvements at the 1 -75 (SR -93) and Pines Boulevard (SR -820) Interchange. The project included modifying the
<br />existing interstate overpass, entrance and exit ramps from a rural configuration to an urban configuration, as well as
<br />widening, signalization, landscaping, and access management improvements along Pines Boulevard. "No- excuse
<br />Bonus" (250K) and "Incentive /Decentive" contracting method is being utilized.
<br />PEMBROKE ROAD AND NW 1961h AVENUE SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENTS, CEI — CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FL;
<br />AMERICAN RECOVERY & REINVESTMENT ACT
<br />Senior Project Engineer in charge of the City of Pembroke Pines Sidewalk Improvements Project. This project includes
<br />the addition of approximately 22,600 LF of sidewalk adjacent to the right -of -way, milling and resurfacing, signing and
<br />pavement markings, and new ADA ramps with detectable warning surfaces. In addition, thickened edge sidewalks with
<br />pedestrian handrails are to be installed where drop off conditions warrant. The project also consists of drainage
<br />improvements, new curb installation, guardrail removal, grading of adjacent swales and sod restoration, and new
<br />landscaping.
<br />EMERGENCY WATER MAIN REPAIR — CITY OF PEMBROKE PINES, FL
<br />Senior Project Engineer in charge of full construction management services for the emergency repair of a 16" PVC
<br />transmission water main that ruptured along Pines Boulevard, east of NW 145th Avenue in the City of Pembroke Pines.
<br />The project consisted of the replacement of 20 If. of a 16" PVC water main with 16" DIP retrained sleeve pipe, fire
<br />hydrant installation for flushing and testing, backfill and compaction following FDOT specifications. The project also
<br />included the removal and replacement of two driveways connecting a shopping center with Pines Boulevard, striping and
<br />ADA sidewalk ramps. This project was executed as time and material, therefore a meticulous tracking of all contractor
<br />activities and final cost estimates was required.
<br />SR -811 (NE 4th AVENUE) FROM SUNRISE BOULEVARD TO SOUTH OF SOUTH FORK MIDDLE RIVER, FORT
<br />LAUDERDALE, FL — FDOT, DISTRICT 4
<br />Senior Project Engineer responsible for the milling /resurfacing of NE 4th Avenue including drainage, pavement markings,
<br />signalization, raised median, sidewalk, curb & gutter, landscaping and irrigation - $1.8 million.
<br />SR -5 (FEDERAL HIGHWAY) FROM SUNRISE BOULEVARD TO OAKLAND PARK BOULEVARD, FORT
<br />LAUDERDALE, FL — FDOT, DISTRICT 4
<br />Senior Project Engineer responsible for the milling, resurfacing and widening of Federal Highway ($7.7 million); including
<br />reconstruction of NE 131h Street, repairs to the Middle River Canal Bridge, drainage, pavement markings, traffic
<br />separator, raised median, signalization, utility relocation, sidewalk, curb & gutter, bus pads, landscaping and irrigation.
<br />"No- excuse Bonus" (310K) and "Incentive /Decentive" contracting method utilized.
<br />SR -5 (DIXIE HIGHWAY) FROM LAKEVIEW TO PALM BEACH LAKES BOULEVARD, WEST PALM BEACH, FL —
<br />FDOT, DISTRICT 4
<br />Project Engineer responsible for the reconstruction of SR 5 ($14 million) including drainage, JPA with the City of West
<br />Palm Beach for the installation of new sanitary and water mains throughout the project, utility relocations, signalization,
<br />communication, lighting, landscaping, irrigation, traffic calming and beautification. "No- Excuse Bonus" ($600K)
<br />contracting method project was utilized.
<br />SR -805 (DIXIE HIGHWAY) FROM 6th AVENUE SOUTH TO 10th AVENUE NORTH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL —
<br />FDOT DISTRICT 4
<br />Roadway Inspector responsible for overseeing the Contractor's performance for conformance with plans, specifications,
<br />traffic control plans and materials standards, maintained daily field reports, density log books, field books, striping log
<br />book, and assisted the Project Engineer in preparing weekly and monthly reports, as well as the final estimates package.
