These projects have <br />includes sites containing from 0.9 to 2.0 acres. One of the recent projects was the <br />new Walgreens retail store situated on a 0.82 -acre former gas station site situated in <br />the northeast quadrant of the intersection of South Dixie Highway (State Road 5, U.S. <br />Route 1) and S.W. 168th Street in the Village of Palmetto Bay, southwestern Miami - <br />Dade County. The project included driveway connections to both State and County <br />roadways; on -site paving, grading and drainage improvements; and, an off -site water <br />main extension and an off -site gravity sewer main extension necessary to serve the <br />project. <br />Month and Year the project was started and completed: Design Start: 2005: <br />Construction Completion: 2008 <br />Role of Firm and Responsibilities: <br />Under contract to the Owner, and working closely with the Project Architect and <br />ultimate user, Consulting Engineering & Science, Inc. served as Civil Engineer of <br />Record for the design, preparation of construction documents, permitting and <br />construction administration services. Special features included securing driveway <br />connection and drainage permits from the Florida Department of Transportation; <br />securing DERM drainage approval for this former gas station; providing a temporary <br />on -site sewage disposal system due to a moratorium on connection to the existing <br />public system; and, providing 800 linear feet of off -site gravity sewer for sewer <br />service once the moratorium was lifted. <br />City RFP No. 11 -11 -01 9 <br />
