ORTIZ, P.E. <br />Vice President <br />Project Engineer <br />EDUCATION <br />B.S., Civil Engineering, Florida State University, 1996. <br />EXPERIENCE <br />Mr. Ortiz has over 15 years of experience in the areas of land development, utility <br />systems design and coastal engineering. He has been responsible for the design, <br />preparation of construction documents and construction administration for a variety of <br />t residential and commercial site development, roadway, stormwater management and <br />drainage, water and sewer and coastal projects. <br />His specific project experience includes the Civil engineering design and preparation of <br />construction drawings of land development projects, including single family residential, <br />s; <br />multi - family residential, highrise residential, office building, shopping center and free- <br />standing retail. Such projects have included layout; paving, grading and drainage; and, <br />water distribution and sewage collection systems. These projects have been located <br />throughout Miami -Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach Counties; and, have <br />included such national/regional retailers as Walgreens, Extra Space Self- Storage, <br />Wachovia Banks and Publix and Winn -Dixie Supermarkets; and, residential projects for <br />r) the Related Group, Dayco Corporation, the Lojeta of Group of Florida and Opus South <br />Corporation. He has also served as Project Manager/Project Engineer for the Rural <br />Neighborhoods, Inc. (Everglades Community Association) (subsidized housing) and <br />Carrfour Supportive Housing, Inc. (affordable housing). <br />His Coastal engineering experience includes the renovation and expansion of Miami- <br />Dade County's Haulover Park & Marina (Phase II); seawalls and docks at the Atlantis II <br />Resort in Paradise Island, Bahamas; a deepwater seawall at the Tampa Marriott; and, a <br />steel framed roof on a pile- supported foundation for wet boat storage at the Roscioli <br />Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale. <br />Most recently, Mr. Ortiz has served as Project Manager for the Civil engineering work <br />associated with the Margaritaville Resort in Hollywood, Florida; the Parkview Gardens <br />affordable housing project in Miami, Florida; and, Publix Supermarkets in Coral Gables, <br />Miami, Miami Beach and Pinecrest, Florida.
