<br />") <br /> <br />\ <br />, <br /> <br />University Drive Improvements, Cooper City and Davie, Fl <br /> <br />The Chen Moore Team designed a new right turn lane and bus bay from University Drive (FOOT SR <br />817) into the future entrance to the Town Center component of the Monterra Development in Cooper <br />City (north of Sheridan Street). The project required the design and construction of two - 9 foot box <br />culverts (approximately 120 LF), the demolition and relocation of +/- 2,000 LF of water main from Davie <br />Utilities and doubled the width of +/- 2,000 LF of the existing Central Broward Water Control District <br />(CBWCD) canal along University Drive. Coordination efforts were conducted with the CBWCD, Town of <br />Davie Engineering, Town of Davie Fire Marshall, Town of Davie Utilities, Cooper City Utilities, Broward <br />County and the Florida Department of Transportation. The project was completed simultaneously with <br />the University Drive Canal Expansion Project. Chen Moore and Associates' services included roadway, <br />drainage, earthwork and utility design; government permitting; conducting public bidding for the <br />Monterra Community Development District (CD D); construction observation and closeout services. <br /> <br />Client <br />CM Monterra Property LLC <br />James Wright <br />135 San Lorenzo Ave Ste 740 <br />Coral Gables, FL 33146 <br />(305) 632-2990 <br /> <br />Solano Avenue Roadway Design and Construction Administration, Cooper City, Fl <br /> <br />Chen Moore and Associates designed an over half-mile long roadway that connects Sheridan Street <br />and University Drive, mixed-use residential areas and the Town Center component of the Monterra <br />Development in Cooper City. Solano Avenue was designed to create a relationship between the mixed- <br />use residential, Town Center, pedestrian walkways, parallel parking and green spaces to promote <br />walkability, social interaction and give the area a sense of community. This required a variance to <br />reduce and relocate the required berm along the property frontage to the roadways.
