The project consists of creating a single lane ramp that connects the Florida Turnpike on-ramp to
the westbound SR- 836 extension for emergency use only. The emergency ramp was requested by the Miami-Dade Fire
Rescue Department to reduce their response time to emergencies along the SR-836 extension and locations where
using the SR-836 extension would be the most direct route. This design is considered "complex-highway" and will be part
of the MDX system. An emergency u-turn will be designed on the SR-836 Extension between SW 127lh Avenue and SW
137lh Avenue.
DESIGN/BUILD FOR 1.595 FINAL DESIGN, BROWARD COUNTY, FL - FDOT, DISTRICT 4 (AECOMIDRAGADOS)
Water Resources Director responsible for the overall drainage master plan update and complete drainage design for the
entire corridor, which includes exfiltration trench, storm sewer design and analysis, cross drain analysis, and both wet
and dry retention stormwater management designs for seven out of eight design zones and is responsible for the
drainage plan preparation for two roadway design sections, as well as all coordination between six different design firms.
The scope includes exfiltration trench design, storm sewer design and analysis, and both wet and dry retention
stormwater management pond designs.
NW 7th/9th AVENUE CONNECTOR (DESIGN) - CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE, FL
Lead Drainage Engineer - He is responsible for the urban drainage design, storm sewers, stormwater quality treatment,
and permitting, The project includes the roadway design of an urban section, 4-lane divided connector between NW 7th
and NW 9th Avenues.
